Towson University presentation: ‘White people are a plague’

Towson University has featured a presentation on “White People are a Plague to the Planet,” according to Hypeline.

A former SGA representative from the university sent in a photograph of the slideshow presentation. The topic itself was more specific but almost as eyebrow raising as the title, since it focused on “the historical historical ties between homophobia in communities of color and colonization.”

The photograph shows a young black man standing at the podium to give the presentation, while students, including a white student in the front row, appear ready to take notes. As outrageous as the presentation may have been, it is only one more example of those which seek to blame white people and “white privilege” for just about any and every problem with society.

One Twitter user seemed to agree with blaming white people.

Another pointed out how different the reactions would be speaking out against black people.

If one wishes to see an example of privilege, consider how privileged this kid was; if he were white and the subject matter any non-white group, he'd be in jail for hate crimes right now.  The right to engage in criminal charges Bruce with impunity is almost the very definition of privilege.
