Anyone Else?
« on: April 27, 2016, 02:33:14 pm »
In painfully watching and listening to Trump's victory rhetoric last night, I noticed more than once that Trump stated that he thought Bernie should run third party.  Did anyone else catch that?  Could Trump have been more obvious?  He knows he has little chance of winning against Hillary in the general; but if Bernie runs 3rd party, it would split the DEM vote and his chances would be significantly better.  What a buffoon.  Oh ... and it looked like he had put even more spray tan on his face and added some more orange to his hair dye?  He looked absolutely terrible!

I have heard some of the Berniebots saying that they'll never vote for Hillary and they'll write Bernie's name in, but who knows??

That could prove interesting ... who knows.  This is an election where the unexpected has happened.  Perhaps there will be enough Bernie write ins and enough #Never Trump write ins that neither of them get the nomination...then it's up to the House of Representatives!

It would be stupid for Trump to not poke at Hillary by mentioning the divide in that party.  Isn't the idea to actually win?  I thought he was only in it to get Clinton into the White House.  Do you anti-Trumps ever keep a consistent argument.

Feel better now?
Guess who got the NYT's endorsement in the GOP primary?

The are exponential more Bernie supporters than the tiny but loud minority of #NeverTRumps.  Being inspired by a candidate is much more attractive to people than an bitter, sore loser #NeverTrump movement that isn't based on a candidate, but on a hatred of a candidate.  Most people in the GOP would like to be positive, and anger is being expressed by those following Trump, which feels good, versus hating Trump, which as I've seen here, brings out the worst in people.

#NeverTrump is a blip on the radar.  Bernie supporters can and will greatly impact Clinton's chances.

There's a movement amoung the Berntards to throw their support with Jill Stein and the Greens or the libertarians.

I have been predicting, maybe just hoping, to get the first election since 1823 that gets decided in the House of Representatives. Which of course would mean that the Establishment GOP would pick the winner.  :silly:

If Hillary barely trounces Trump and the Greens manage to pick off a heavily berntard state like Vermont, that might be enough to throw the election into the House. Remember that you need a *majority* of electoral college votes, not just a plurality.

If the election is thrown into the HoR, then the House has to choose between I think the top 3 winners of the EC vote, so it might be Trump/Cruz/whoever the GOP chooses, Hillary, and the third party choice (be it Jill Stein or Gary Johnson).

And the VP is chosen by the Senate.

So in such a situation you might get a wack combo like a Green party president and a conservative VP!  :silly:

You're laughing but let's face it.  Cruz has a huge following as well as Bernie ... and we're talking voters who are refusing to vote for either Trump or Hillary ... I'm seeing the House deciding as becoming a possibility.
