The statement points out that such gender confusion should be treated as a psychological disorder called “gender dysphoria” and is “a recognized mental disorder in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-V).”
The psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins, Paul McHugh, has said that it makes no more sense to do a sex change operation on a person suffering from gender dysphoria than it would to do liposuction on an anorexic.
You do not change physically what is perceived psychologically.
To do so is physical mutilation, and abusive.
