Missouri GOP releases tentative delegate allocation

By Rebecca Savransky

The Missouri GOP released a tentative delegate allocation on Wednesday after the state's Tuesday Republican primary.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump received 37 delegates, followed by rival Ted Cruz who received 15 delegates, according to a reporter from St. Louis Public Radio.

According to the Associated Press, Trump received 40.9 percent of the vote in Missouri, followed closely by Cruz who got 40.7 percent of the vote.

Cruz could still call for a recount, given the extremely close margin separating him and Trump. Bernie Sanders, likewise trailing Hillary Clinton by two-tenths of a point, could also ask for a recount.

Trump took several states on Tuesday, winning in Florida, North Carolina and Illinois. He lost to rival John Kasich in the governor's home state of Ohio.
