News broke yesterday of GOP establishment figures plotting to take over a brokered convention and nominate some alternative hand-picked candidate for president. Such a move by Republican leadership would destroy the party.

On his Friday night program, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin explained that the GOP establishment is perfectly comfortable doing that. They would rather let Hillary Clinton become president than suffer a constitutional conservative in office. 

 “The Republican establishment is about big government,” says Levin. “If they can’t nominate who they want, then fine…they want to control the republican apparatus.” And they’re willing to lose the election to remain in control.

Donald Trump is not a constitutional conservative.  He is not even a conservative.

If Levin wants one or both of those, he should focus on eliminating Trump from the race.
