Now “God hates Canada["]*, according to the Westboro Baptist Church, a gay bashing church group known for protesting soldier funerals.

The country, known for its politeness is “given over to sodomite filth” according to a statement from the group which planning to picket the baseball playoff game between Canada’s Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals.

The church, best known in this country for appearing a TV appearance with Louis Theroux is based nearby in Topeka.

"How in God's name can you 'he men' baseball players - known for your physical prowess - stand by like a bunch of sissies in the face of what God calls an 'abomination,'" the group posted online, referring to Canada’s same-sex marriage laws.

They also said they will not only take this opportunity to chastise Canadians for their liberal views, but also to “remind Canada that their doom is imminent.”

The group was banned north of the border as they [were]* prevented from entering the UK on the basis of their hate speech.

Ironically, the son of the now-deceased founder of the church, Fred Phelps, lives in the Canadian city of Calgary, where he fled his from his father’s group, aged 18.
