Fox News Channel says it was the party that canceled Donald Trump's scheduled appearance and not the other way around.

Trump on Wednesday announced on Twitter he would be boycotting the conservative-leaning news channel for the "foreseeable future" because of what he called unfair coverage.

Quote
Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

.@FoxNews has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won't be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future.

Funny!  Hopefully Trump's incessant whining will diminish his reputation as a "street fighter" and his support among rational people.

Probably because they're telling the truth?

There are people on Fox who are critical of Trump and people who are supportive of him, and what he is doing to the Republican primary.

The "Fox is mean to me so I'm not going to talk with them" line is not only puerile and Obama-like, but it is also untrue.

Trump is apparently, under all the bluster, a wimp.

Could be true.

Meh - he's pulled this crap before. Didn't his campaign manager (??) quit a few weeks back and Trump was all "No, I fired him."

Guy's always got to be the mover and shaker. Not exactly a bad thing if you are proactive about it, but it does look pathetic if you are reactive about it.

The big monkey-wrench in the FOXNEWS/Trump Feud is the fact that virtually all of talk radio is pro-Trump.

Rush Limbaugh, while not publicly endorsing Trump, fully supports his candidacy at this time.  As he had done to the MSM over the Sandra Fluke affair, Trump refused to back down and instead doubled-down.  The media lost and his numbers went up.

Michael Savage, love him or hate him, is crazy in love with Donald Trump.  Savage is thoroughly disgusted with both Parties.

Face it, Rush Limbaugh is a powerful man.  He could have him on his show and it would dominate the news cycle.  Reaching over 20 million listeners, plus, as Rush says, that the MSM use his show as "show prep" for their own information.

Having Rush favor Trump while FOXNEWS boycotts him?   Does that mean Sean Hannity couldn't have Trump on his show?   Sean wouldn't put up with that.  Not going into a campaign season.

Rush, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Mark Simone, Michael Savage, Tom Marr, Howie Carr, and hundreds of local guys. On TV there's Fox and Friends, Lou Dobbs, etc etc etc...

The list of conservative and center-right talk shows giving Trump a fair hearing continues to grow.

Of course, none of those people are good for conservatism because as everyone knows they're not "rational" conservatives.

Good post ac.

I can't think of a single GOP candidate that doesn't have at least one opinion that I don't agree with.  Not a single one, but I can find good things to say about any of them.  I don't criticize the people that show support for them, that is divisive and does not advance victory.

We have a deep field that is capable of hitting the enemy on so many different fronts because they each have their own unique strengths.  Some are sharp on foreign policy, some are oratorically brilliant and some are pure fighters.

I get so tired of hearing good and intelligent people being called irrational, imbeciles, morons, cultists, insane........lately I feel like I'm back at TOS.

Ping!

I made a decision recently not to respond to certain people here. They're obsessed with Trump, you know who they are. They insult members ad hominem, they haven't made a thoughtful comment since Trump announced, all they do is criticize.

I won't put them on ignore, though. Rather, I prefer to personally ignore their blather as I scroll by.

However, if they ever decided to stop throwing invectives around I might consider resuming conversation with them. Unfortunately, all they have so far are insults, and one cannot have a conversation with insults.

It's a good policy.  I usually try to do the same.

I very much appreciate your "rational" responses here - articulate and reasoned, but not without humor.  Glad you're here ac!

I've always been the type to speak up for the "underdog".  It's difficult to cast Trump in the role of "underdog" because of his wealth.  I can say you can tell a lot about a man by his enemies.  I also see who his friends are.  Sen. Sessions, Cruz and Scott speak a lot for Trump.
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

Actually, if you read my post accurately, you will see that I said that there WERE rational people still supporting Trump.

I guess you see what you want to see, eh?

I don't like Trump, but I DON'T trash those who support him as irrational.

Repeating............ I said just the opposite.  There are MANY rational conservatives still supporting Trump.

I just personally don't understand it.

I hope you haven't mistaken my comment to include you, m'lady. You clearly discuss your opinion of Trump without invective or insult to those who disagree. That allows the channels of discussion to remain open.

My problem is with folks who insult me. Who wants to talk with them? I'm through going around in circles with them. I want to talk about the good and bad aspects of all our GOP candidates without acrimony.

I said many times I haven't declared support for a candidate yet, and I wish to remain intellectually honest enough to explore each campaign. If that kind of conversation sounds reasonable to folks, then by all means let's conversate.

Since I used the word "rational" and the word "rational" was cited several times, yes I did think you (and others) were talking about me.

I appreciate the clarification.

And for the record, I think you, aligncare, are one of the most rational people I have ever encountered.  ^-^
