This is a 3 episode series, each 1-1/2 hrs. It's a story of five German friends, two of which are girls. Starts in 1941, Germany.
Wilhelm and Friedhelm are brothers. Viktor is their Jewish friend since childhood. Charlotte is sweet on Wilhelm and Greta dreams of being the next Greta Garbo.
They take a group photo and promise to see each other again at Christmas....seven months away.
Halfway through the first episode, I had to turn it off. More than twice. Affects me when I see the German/Jew thing played out.
It's a terrific series so far.
Just want to point out this though....Early on in the 2nd episode (1943 Germany), Greta is sitting at the curb in the back seat of a car with a driver.
She nonchalantly looks out the window up the street and she sees an frail elderly couple in very nice winter coats with yellow stars being escorted into vehicles by German soldiers and plainclothes authorities.
Don't ANYBODY ever tell me that it couldn't happen here.
Not after seeing how they've portrayed it expanding from the very beginning.
If not for the damned 2nd Amendment, it would be happening right about now.
