"Neither Hillary nor Obama are running for the GOP nomination.  I thought you knew that."

Awe, c'mon Godzilla, surely you can think of a reply more ridiculous than that. Give it a try. The Choir is counting on you.
Members of the anti-Trump cabal: Now that Mr Trump has sewn up the nomination, I want you to know I feel your pain.

What is ridiculous about it?  Right now the single most important thing to me politically is the outcome of the GOP nomination process.  After that is over it will switch to the election.

We have a field of roughly 16 candidates to chose from... and the argument for Trump is that he is better than Clinton or Obama.

That's a red-herring.  Neither Clinton nor Obama are running in for the 2016 Republican nomination.

Trump can only be compared to our other candidates.  *ALL* of which are a better choice than him.

So, is Jeb a better choice?  Who is you pick as of this date.
Mine is Ted Cruz (alternate).  Instead of criticizing Trump, let us know your candidate of choice....and we can have an adult dialogue.  Whattaya think?

Me?  I think Rubio is a good choice.

He's got a positive message, an inspiring story, and comes from Florida (which would make it very easy for the GOP to win come November 2016).  If we could see a Rubio/Kasich ticket... we'd lock up Florida and Ohio, which would almost guarantee victory in the electoral college (Texas, Florida, Ohio... those three alone are 81 electoral college votes.  Factor in the rest of the solid red states and it's an easy win.)

I liked Rubio too but now Trump has turned the whole thing into a xenophobic mud slinging and Rubio cannot answer back..same with Cruz to a lesser extent.

Thank you for a substantive response.  While I may not agree with your choices, in a political scenario, they make perfect sense.  Hope the thought given by your comment will stand as an example for future discussions.

Thank you again.

I like Rubio, though I think he's too young looking and inexperienced to have earned himself a shot at the presidency. Can't agree with Kasich at all. He's too brusque, too establishment and too PC for my taste. Nice guys, though, both.
