AKRON, Ohio -- A bridal store visited by Ebola patient Amber Joy Vinson over the weekend closed its doors Thursday afternoon.

Television cameras peered into the windows of Coming Attractions Bridal and Formal, as a man in a suit exited only to say that the store was closed and that Vinson had visited over the weekend.

The man said Vinson, 29, who was in Akron visiting family last weekend, was looking for bridesmaid dresses at the store. He did not know when the store might reopen.

Cameras from Channel 5 and the Akron Beacon Journal were allowed into the store, while other media were left outside.

Jesse Lewis and Lindsey Anderson, who live up the hill from the East Akron store, were trying to get inside to find a dress for an upcoming Halloween party, but were turned away at the door.

"Concerned? I have two granddaughters. Ebola is not something you play around with," Lewis said. "On the Internet I watched the computerized spread and how fast it covers the world. I'm scared to death."

Anderson said she was skeptical to return after hearing that Vinson had visited.

Vinson, a graduate of Firestone High School and Kent State University, visited the store during her trip to Tallmadge, where she stayed with her stepfather. That house has been cordoned off by police and the stepfather along with six others who made contact with Vinson are in voluntary quarantine.

Vinson, who treated Thomas Eric Duncan at a Dallas hospital before he died of Ebola, flew to Cleveland on Friday and back to Texas on Monday. She is now being treated in Atlanta.

Summit County Public Health has said it will continue interviews to determine Vinson's whereabouts during her stay in the county.
