Michelle Blames ‘This Country’ For Female Vet’s Unemployment

Posted By Neil Munro On 11:47 AM 10/07/2014

Michelle Obama says that America is responsible for a female veteran’s unemployment.

She’s been given the cover in the Oct. 14 issue of Redbook to tout the administration’s claimed support for women veterans, just three weeks before the Nov. 4 election.

She returned the favor by blaming Americans for their shared economic difficulties.

“She’s been trained to be a leader,” Obama said about one unemployed veteran.

“And this country’s not giving her that opportunity, someone who wants it so desperately,” she claimed.

That resentment is close to her all-time greatest resentment quote: “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback,” she told voters back in February 2008.

Since then, her husband has overseen federal spending of roughly $20 trillion, yet somehow only 62.7 percent of working-age Americans have jobs or are seeking jobs.

That’s roughly 6 million fewer working people than in 2007, when the workforce participation rate was 66 percent. In fact, the rate at its lowest level since 1978, where few women were even trying to find jobs.

The unemployment numbers are actually even worse than that data, because the workforce includes a rising proportion of foreign workers. Once they’re accounted for, the data shows that fewer native-born Americans have jobs now than had jobs in 2000, despite a U.S.-born population that’s 16 million people larger.

“A lot of people think you guys come out of the military and the country is taking care of you, but the transition is tough,” Michelle Obama says in the Redbook article.

How would she know?  She already stated that she hated the military and the flag...

Echoes of “for the first time... I am proud of my country," don't you think?

I've never understood why they needed to force soldiers out instead of letting them stay and stop recruiting. They will naturally leave the military and retire out and military numbers will go down.

Michelle's $300k no-show job at U of Chicago is still vacant, isn't it?

That is what they used to do...attrition solved that problem...Obama wants them gone now..

If the military didn't get jerked around by budgets from time to time, they might well let attrition work freely.

For officers, there is sort of an "Up or Out" criteria.
