Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel wasn’t sure of the relationship between the Taliban and the Haqqanis, whether the U.S. has traded with the Taliban in the past and a host of other questions at Wednesday’s congressional hearing on the Bowe Bergdahl trade.

Attorney General Eric Holder was similarly puzzled during a hearing last year.
