Cornyn will win next Tuesday comfortably. FR has a fool who is stating that there's a Poll that has Cornyn at 40% and Mapp at 20%. What he is not telling the drool-cup-wearers over there is that it's an online poll, which is no poll at all.

Stovall has similar polls on his site but the funny thing is they are internet polls and they are doing the Ron Paul thing where all the followers spam the polls and pass them around so they are deceiving themselves. When I went to vote there were several Cornyn signs, none for any of his challengers.
We had a good opportunity here if we had someone like Michael Williams to take out Cornyn but it isn't looking promising right now. I guess we'll have to find a way to keep John in line.
Later, in an interview with the San Antonio Express-News, Mapp defended his use of the word and his characterization of undocumented immigrants.
He described the slur as normal for Texans.
Mapp said its use is as “normal as breathing air in south Texas,” according to the newspaper.
We'll know soon enough and IF Cornyn doesn't win without a runoff he is DONE!
His not winning outright alone would send a HUGE shock wave through Washington!
When it gets down to crunch time and your campaign is floundering in obscurity, even bad press can look like a good idea.
He will win outright.
The dwarves challenging Cornyn are an embarrassment. Should there be a runoff, Stockman (who is the only one with a chance) is going to be made to look like the mental case he is. He has no money, and none of the respectable Tea Party PACS are going to get near this guy.
The guy may be Looney Tunes but underlying his verbal flail rests a serious concern to American sovereignty and security.
Was anybody taking this guy seriously, or is this simply the Cornyn campaign trying to cut off any potential opposition at the root? Same with the other guy (not Stockman).

The shooting at illegals is certainly justifiable in some cases. However, using the term "wetback" can never be forgiven as far the left sees it. You can shoot at them, chase them, threaten them but don't use a naughty word! :thud:if the stories are true Mexico has shoot to kill orders along the border with Guatemala to keep them out of here
Of course it's Cornyn's fault. Cornyn let Chris Mapp open his mouth in front of reporters didn't he?My point is that fringe types like Mapp and Stovall run for elected office all the time. They don't typically get any attention because they typically have no money, very little support, and, quite frankly, are kooks. They're typically motivated only by vanity and the novelty of running for office.

Pretty much everyone here (and probably everywhere else) has agreed that the only serious competition for Cornyn was Stockman, and that he was always a longshot. If Stockman, an elected congressman, is a longshot, what does that say about the chances of the other two nobodies running? Why, then, are we paying them any attention?
