Battleground states seeing a drop in number of voters planning to vote by mail
By Justine Coleman - 08/26/20 11:57 AM EDT

Battleground states are seeing a drop in the number of likely voters planning to vote by mail, according to a poll released Wednesday.

A CNBC/Change Research poll determined that 33 percent of likely battleground state voters said they will vote by mail in the November election.

In the last poll conducted two weeks ago, 38 percent of battleground voters, from Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, intended to vote by mail.

The change in plans for battleground state voters comes after reports of the U.S. Postal Service instituting changes that have delayed mail, including the removal of mail sorting machines and mailboxes.

The largest shift came among Democratic voters; 57 percent of Democrats in the battleground states said they intend to vote by mail in the new poll, compared to 64 percent two weeks ago.

Every Republican in these states who can physically go to the polls should do so, because votes cast in person on election day are going to be worth more than those cast by mail. Particularly those that don't make it.

Let the democrat-communists be lazy and "mail 'em in"...

I had questioned this issue earlier @Fishrrman -- we received an application for mail-in from our local Board of Elections with Trump's picture and message requesting those in FL vote by mail - also claiming that FL's election problems have been resolved.  Unusual as this is the first time that we have received any application and surprised that Trump's message and picture are attached.

Good .. voting in person is preferable.

But in states mailing out ballots to everyone how will they know someone hasn't already voted by mail?

Will mail in ballots need to be surrendered at the polling place?  What happens to the ballot then?   :pondering:
