Trump trolls ‘Palestinian senator’ Chuck Schumer, claims his career has ‘limited’ time left: ‘I hear AOC is gonna beat him’

President Trump on Tuesday gleefully needled his longtime foe, New York Dem Sen. Chuck Schumer, by predicting that “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would beat him if she takes him on in 2028.

Trump, going off on a tangent during a discussion on the deadly floods that unleashed hell on Texas Hill Country last week, said the Senate minority leader has a penchant for blaming him for crises.

“I saw a Palestinian senator, his name is Schumer. He’s a great Palestinian,” Trump said of the pol, who is the highest elected Jewish official in the country.

“He’s become a Palestinian, he has abandoned the Jews,” Trump claimed in a jab at the top Senate Democrat’s criticisms of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demands for better conditions for the Palestinians.

How many of those on Medicaid are illegal aliens?
3
Wrong.  Trump is deporting the invaders.

Maybe if Dems fought as hard for deplorables as they do for illegal aliens, they might be able to get more votes from white guys.

I don't think they should be pushing this if they want to keep their power-grab over the energy sector alive.

Were it true, increased vulcanism would provide a cooling effect that would counteract greenhouse gas warming (or lowered cloud-formation warming which is more realistically what's been going on).

Why does Congress even bother to legislate?  We should just let the judges tell us what to do.

New book exposes Jill Biden's power grab amid husband's political demise
'He’s the only person for the job,' first lady Jill Biden told donors after President Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance

First lady Jill Biden's political rise coincided with the end of her husband's political career, according to a new book about how President Joe Biden lost the White House.

One year after Biden's consequential debate performance, the first octogenarian president's age has inspired congressional investigations and books detailing his alleged cognitive decline.

"2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America," is the latest to tackle the inner workings of the Biden administration.

The book, released Tuesday by journalists Josh Dawsey of The Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of The New York Times and Isaac Arnsdor of The Washington Post, details the influential role Jill Biden played in her husband's administration.

As Jill Biden gained political influence, so did Anthony Bernal, the first lady's chief of staff and senior advisor and an assistant to the president.

President Trump Floats Federal Takeover of D.C.: ‘Crime Would Be Down’

Elizabeth Weibel 8 Jul 2025

President Donald Trump floated the idea of the federal government taking over Washington, D.C., saying that crime would go way down.

During a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump was asked how he wanted Republican voters to vote in the upcoming New York City mayoral election. Trump described Democrat socialist Zohran Mamdani, who is running for mayor of NYC, as a “communist” and stated that he “used to say” that the United States would “not ever be a socialist country.”

“I’ll say it again. We’re not going to have — if a communist gets elected to run New York, it can never be the same,” Trump said. “But we have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to. We could run D.C. We’re looking at D.C. We don’t want crime in D.C. We want the city to run well.”

Trump added that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was “working very closely” with Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser.

“Susie Wiles is working very closely with the mayor, and they’re doing all right,” Trump continued. “I mean, in the sense that we would run it so good, it would be run so proper. We’d get the best person to run it; the crime would be down to a minimal — it would be much less. We’re thinking about doing it, to be honest with you, we want a capital that’s run flawlessly. And it wouldn’t be hard for us to do it.”

Camp Mystic disaster plan approved 2 days before flooding: Records
by Filip Timotija - 07/09/25 8:39 AM ET

A disaster plan for Camp Mystic was approved by Texas inspectors just days before devastating flooding killed more than 20 people at the Christian all-girls summer camp, according to records released Tuesday.

The camp, situated in Kerr County, complied with state regulations pertaining to “procedures to be implemented in case of a disaster,” according to Department of State Health Services records obtained by The Associated Press.

Still, Camp Mystic’s evacuation plans were deemed unclear, five reports viewed by the AP revealed.

Since heavy rainfall in Texas’s Hill Country began over the weekend, more than 100 people have been killed by record flooding. Of the 109 deaths reported in the Lone Star State, the camp lost at least 27 children and counselors. Most of those killed were in Kerr County.

More than 160 people have also been reported missing, according to officials.

“There are far more fatalities than there were in Hurricane Harvey. That’s how catastrophic this is,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said at a news conference on Tuesday, referring to the 2017 storm that left just over 100 dead in the state.

Charlotte Lauten, 19 — a former Camp Mystic attendee — said she did not remember ever receiving directives on what steps to take if there was a weather emergency.

“I do know that the counselors go through orientation training for a week before camp starts. They do brief them on all those types of things,” Luten told the AP.

“This is the middle of nowhere and they didn’t have power,” she continued. “It would have been pitch black, like could not see 5 feet in front of you type of darkness. I’ve never seen stars like there because there’s just no light.”

The inspection of the camp by Texas officials, which took place last Wednesday, concluded that the camp met safety and health criteria.
