Post by: Applewood on August 31, 2018, 11:09:09 am: I was going to sit out the November elections, but there is a referendum on the ballot -- yet another feeding the kiddies program which will mean an increase in property taxes. Gotta vote "no" on that one. As for the races, I wouldn't vote for any of the candidates if you paid me a million dollars. Guess I'll write in someone or skip over them. Doesn't matter for many of them. The senate race, for example -- the Democrat incumbent is a shoe-in. The Republican challenger seems to be just token opposition. In this state, Republicans are the same as Democrats. Doesn't really matter who I vote for or if I vote at all. The outcome will still be the same.

As for the poll, Dems take the House, and the GOP keeps the Senate. The Dems gain the means to harass the President like flies on a rib roast. The bottom line is Trump will fight back but ultimately not run for a second term.

Iâ€™d rather eat chocolate. Smoking beer just doesnâ€™t sound right. Maybe depends on what beer you use.
