Funny.... but the voting location for Republicans in my precinct was a High School where I have voted before. This year.... this time..... there were no signs ANYwhere to indicate that voting was actually going on there. The Democratic voting location, an elementary school much closer to me (natch)....had several signs around making it easy to find and confirm that was where to vote.
Same exact scenario has occurred in Houston with a friend of mine who took pics of the Democratic voting location for his precinct... which had no less than four signs on the street....(clearly marked)...
vs. the no signs at all for the Republican voting location for his precinct.
Now I ask you....
isn't this a form of voter suppression?
I asked an older gentleman getting into his car if this was the right place to vote in the primary and he said yes, and that he had had trouble finding it too (not just me).
I think I'm going to report it.

You absolutely should report it to your County chairman! Primaries are not run by the government but the partys.

Sadly, some local parties can be disorganized as hell and need a little nudge to think about things like letting their voters know where to vote.

I'm hoping some other Texans (here) might share their own voting experiences so we can compare notes. But I have enough proof already (mine and my friend in Houston's) to bring it to their attention. It's clear that "somebody" didn't want it obvious where the Republican voting locations were.

There is one law about campaign sings at a polling location: They must be behind a certain limit from the polling location. It is up to the candidates to place their signs if they want signs there. The county chairman could put signs up denoting that as the location for the Republican Primary. It is not up to county officials to put up signs.

Well somebody is dropping the ball re: signs indicating where these GOP polling places are. Only question is... is it due to incompetence, apathy or something more intentional....?

Sadly, some of the dirtiest tricks are pulled in the primaries. If it seems to be a pattern, time to hit the phones to complain.

Getting the signs out at that location is solely the responsibility of the election judge there. And I will assure you he was provided them.
