Trump suggests military should consider additional discipline for Vindman
By Brett Samuels - 02/11/20 05:16 PM EST
President Trump on Tuesday suggested the military should consider additional disciplinary action against Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who provided damaging testimony against Trump in the impeachment inquiry and was reassigned from his White House job last week.
"We sent him on his way to a much different location, and the military can handle him any way they want," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. "Gen. Milley has him now. I congratulate Gen. Milley. He can have him."
Gen. Mark Milley is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Asked specifically if the Pentagon should pursue further action against Vindman, Trump said it would be "up to the military."
"But if you look at what happened, they’re going to certainly, I would imagine, take a look at that," he said.

Vinmann should be bounced.
-
Any officer who does not fully support his Commander in Chief, deserves a dis-honorable.
-
He should be court martialed for disobeying orders and dereliction of duty.

Nailed It and possibly TREASON if looked into. Reassignment is NOTHING and he is LHAO at the Military and TRUMP. If nothing done he will retire soon with full benefits and probably a book deal. That is not Draining the SWAMP? :chairbang:

Welcome aboard Mr. President! I have been strongly suggesting the same for quite some time now! They should throw the damned book at that bastard and all of his co-conspirators.

Officers are not required to obey illegal orders, and should not be punished for doing so. But this order wasn't illegal -- Vindman just didn't think it was a good idea, so he tried to undermine it.

Speaking of "undermining" the President's orders, does John Brennan still retain his security clearance?

I think not @Cyber Liberty. There was a big kerfluffle about that a while back but I'm too lazy to go dig it up right now.

I Googled it, and the most recent articles about it are from June last year, about Brennan still having his clearance. My assumption is, he still does.

@Cyber Liberty
That's all I could find too. All indications are John Brennan still has the clearance, despite a clear order from the President.

If that is true there should be heads on pikes!

Yes it took all of them.
It is one thing, to have a military area specialist detailed to the NSC, to the WH.
It is quite another thing, for such an individual to be communicating with others, like E. Cimm (whistleblower), Schiff's staff and others, on how to take out a President.
The system itself it at fault, plus the individuals. Who gave orders to E. Cimm and to Vindman, to participate in parsing a Potus conversation?
The heads of military and intelligence agencies, should determine the predicate of those orders.
Getting to the bottom of the system, and the individuals clear to the top is big.

Vinmann should be bounced.
@jafo2010
After serving an appropriate time in Leavenworth Prison as a Private,of course.
-
Ok at this point he really needs to step back and let the Army handle this. Anything else and it sets him up for being accused of tampering.

On what specific charge or violation of the UCMJ exactly?

@txradioguy
Agreed. Even thought it IS his business as Vinmann served as a double agent under him,Trump riding on his back could turn Vinmann into a sympathic figure in some minds. Let the Army take care of it and stay out of it.
