55,000 Use Write-In Option in Pennsylvania Democrat Primary amid Anti-Biden Campaign

Nick Gilbertson 24 Apr 2024

Tens of thousands of Pennsylvania Democrats cast write-in ballots in Tuesday’s presidential primary amid the national uncommitted movement protesting President Joe Biden and his handling of the Israel and Hamas war and his initial, but now waning, support of Israel.

NBC News reported that at least 55,611 Democrat primary voters chose the write-in option, with 96 percent of the vote reported as of Wednesday morning. This accounts for 5.3 percent of the vote, while Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) took 6.5 percent, and Biden garnered 88.2 percent.

As there was no “uncommitted” option on the ballot in Pennsylvania, local organizers with the Uncommitted PA group encouraged voters to write in the phrase. A second group leading an anti-Biden effort in Pennsylvania protesting his handling of the war encouraged voters to write in “No Joe,” as the Philadelphia Inquirer noted.

It remains to be seen how many of the votes tabulate to “uncommitted” or “No Joe,” and it could take weeks before a final answer on that front, the Inquirer reported early Wednesday morning. However, in six key counties, the number of write-ins tripled compared to 2020 to around 36,000 when 87 percent of the vote was reported, the outlet’s Julia Terruso and Jasen Lo reported:

Philadelphia County:

    2024: 14,330
    2020: 2,515

Alleghany County:

    2024: 13,223
    2020: 6,253

Montgomery County:

    2024: 3,161
    2020: 1,843

Delaware County:

    2024: 2,104
    2020: 844

Bucks County:

    2024: 1,880
    2020: 1,215

Chester County:

    2024: 1,440
    2020: 947

Is This the End for Human Fighter Pilots?

In the April 18, 2024 issue of The Telegraph, journalist Cameron Henderson published an article titled “History made as U.S. Military conducts first ever human vs AI dogfight”, and reported something that profoundly disturbs me. He wrote that in September 2023, a USAF F-16 fighter pilot went through a series of engagements with another F-16 controlled by Artificial Intelligence (AI). He said: “Travelling at speeds of up to 1,200 miles per hour, the two jets practised both defensive and offensive scenarios as well as within-visual-range combat, known as dogfighting. At one point they came within 2,000 feet (610 metres) of each other.” This is the first time that an AI pilot has flown in the air against a human pilot, and sadly I think it just could be the beginning of the end for human fighter pilots.

People have predicted that humans would eventually be replaced by computers in the cockpit for decades, but until now it has only happened in simulators. Henderson said that back in 2019, a dogfight between a human USAF fighter pilot and an AI pilot in a simulator resulted in 5-0 victory for the machine. After that, much alleged progress has been made: “Since it was first built in December 2022, the [AI] jet has been taken out on at least 21 test flights, totalling more than 17 hours of flight time and the first-time machine-learning has been used to pilot a fighter jet. During flight, the AI algorithm on the jet analyses data and makes real-time decisions, a process called machine learning, that mirrors the way in which fighter pilots hone their instincts over years of practice. Carrying out a dogfight between an AI-powered jet and a human marks a ‘transformational moment in aerospace history’, DARPA [Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency] said in a statement.”

The article did not actually come out and say the AI pilot won any engagements this time, which could be very good news, but nevertheless the USAF is apparently very pleased with this development. This is disturbing to people like me, who see good reason to be sceptical about AI, especially the potential to replace human beings in various occupations. On the other hand, the fact that the USAF apparently did not release any information about who won the dogfight could be very telling. Perhaps the man or woman won, and if so, they can keep their jobs, for now.

AOC Spreads Hamas ‘Mass Grave’ Hoax to Demonize Israel

Joel B. Pollak 24 Apr 2024

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is spreading a hoax about a “mass grave” supposedly discovered at a Gaza hospital where Israeli soldiers had recently been fighting terrorists.

AOC cited a post on Twitter / X by Nick Kristof, a radical left-wing columnist for the New York Times, who has spread doubts about Hamas’s documented use of hospitals, but treats Hamas claims about Israeli atrocities as proven facts.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has noted for days that Hamas has tried to spread misinformation about the hospital.

In fact, it said, IDF soldiers examined a grave that had been used by Palestinians to bury dead people, hoping to find the remains of Israeli hostages who may have been killed, and then returned the bodies that the IDF had exhumed.

The Times of Israel reported earlier this week:

It said forces searching for Israeli hostages had examined bodies previously buried by Palestinians near Nasser Hospital and had returned the bodies to where they were buried after they were examined.

It has been documented that Palestinians buried their dead at the hospital grounds both before and while Israeli troops operated in the area.

The location of that burial site was geo-located by experts to the same location where Hamas officials claimed to have discovered the new mass grave.

Monitoring, meaning what that they have someone watch them commit theft, assaults, rapes and murders of Americans? If they know they are criminals in the country illegally and know where they are(monitoring) why the hell are they still in our country when they should be given a propelling them back to their shithole?

Interest Rates will make servicing the Government debt more expensive.

In theory, higher interest rates lower demand and sop up cash to reduce cash supply and lower the velocity of money through the economy.

But, the stickiness of inflation is due to bad Government housing policy, bad Government energy policy, lack of Government anti-trust enforcement, and things beyond the Government's control, such as bird flu.

Even if higher rates reduce demand, as intended, there is still insufficient supply (housing) to meet demand and Global Climate Change Policies are inflationary because they distort market supply and increase energy prices.

In a truly free competitive energy market, we'd be getting more electricity from lower-cost coal, natural gas, and possibly newer, safer thorium nuclear power plants - lower costs of production; lower prices.
