Hillary Clinton, in her campaign post-mortem released Tuesday, tore into women who didn’t vote for her failed presidential candidacy in November and regretted it, saying “these people were looking for absolution that I just couldn’t give.”
Clinton’s book, What Happened, is an angry account of how she lost to President Trump in November. Among the multitude of people/countries/events she blames for her defeat are young women who didn’t vote for her.
In the book, she talks about the Women’s March in D.C. and other cities across America as “bittersweet” as it contrasted the enthusiasm of activists with the lack of enthusiasm with which her campaign was greeted.
While she called the event “awe-inspiring on Twitter, she says she “couldn’t help but ask where those feelings of solidarity, outrage, and passion had been during the election.”
“Since November, more than two dozen women — of all ages, but mostly in their twenties — had approached me in restaurants, theaters, and stores to apologize for not voting or not doing more to help my campaign,” she writes. “I responded with forced smiles and tight nods.”
Clinton then recounts a moment when a mother dragged her daughter by the arm to apologize to the former secretary of state for not voting. She notes chillingly that the girl had her head “bowed in contrition.” But instead of feeling sorry for the girl being humiliated before her, Clinton says she wanted to pile on.
“I wanted to stare right in her eyes and say, ‘You didn’t vote? How could you not vote?! You abdicated your responsibility as a citizen at the worst possible time! And now you want me to make you feel better?’” she said. “Of course I didn’t say any of that.”
While a majority of women voted for Clinton, she failed to win a majority of white women — who voted instead for Trump. It is clear from the book that Clinton, whose campaign never missed an opportunity to remind voters that she would be the first female president if she won, was stung by this particular data point.
“These people were looking for absolution that I just couldn’t give,” she wrote. “We all have to live with the consequences of our decisions.”

This woman won't let her SS detail look her in the face and she wants us to believe the great unwashed is allowed to just saunter up to her??
Hogwash.
As true as her being under fire in Bosnia. :smokin:

Her supporters aren't happy with us females who didn't vote for Hillary too. One of them was pizzed at me for not voting for the battle axe. I was a traitor to women, according to her. I told this stupid woman that I don't vote based on gender, skin color or any of that other meaningless stuff. I want a candidate to share my conservative ideology, but more importantly, I want him or her to do what's best for the country as a whole, not for some protected group or class. Hillary is corrupt, incompetent and a beyotch. She was a lousy senator, an incompetent SOS and would have been a disaster as president.
Unfortunately, it seems that Hillary doesn't get it and neither do her fans. Only an idiot would vote based on gender. People tried voting for Obama based on his skin color. Many were ultimately disappointed. It would be just as foolish to vote for Clinton merely because of her gender.

I love it when she says nonsense like this. It shows just how delusional she is.

Dearest Hillary,

Ever notice how liberals who are so stalwart on the separation of Church and State are always using religious language when talking politics?

Unsurprisingly, the arrogance of that witch comes shining through...she is on one heck of roll right now in her meltdown...reminds me of manbearpig (Gore) and his.

Does the word "women" include trannies, casket dwellers, illegals, and federal prisoners? :tongue2:
-
Does she think she is the Pope or Jesus Christ?
-
Then it's mutual. I can give her no "absolution" for her crimes, corruption, unethical behavior, personality defects, sense of entitlement, etc..
-
At least it's good to know this is eating her alive and will be doing so for a long time to come.

It is eating her up. To the point where she is doing and saying irrational things. She may never come to accept that she lost. It could eat her into an early grave, if she is never able to 'make peace with herself' and let it go.
If she keeps going the way she is currently going, a physical and mental collapse is very likely. And I'm sure the Democrat Party is hoping that it happens sooner rather than later. At this point, she is doing a lot of damage to the Democrat brand. And I believe that in her current frenetic mental state, she doesn't care one bit how much damage she does, or whom she hurts. She is simply blindly lashing out at everyone, including her former supporters.

More likely Allah, since that's the crowd she runs with.
-
I giggle every time I think of her losing.

I doubt any would take her into his harem.

Makes me regret erasing Colbert's Election Night Special from my DVR. So many precious moments...lol.

@IsailedawayfromFR
Maybe as a camel?

All that corruption that has filled old Hillary up over the decades has caused her to be quite deranged in her old age. Her Evilness.... giving absolution.... to anyone? The very notion is absurd. It figures that she would have it.

I read that he hadn't prepared any material for a Trump win so it was pretty pathetic?
I usually record NCIS so I got the CBS coverage - we must have watched it 5 or 6 times before erasing. The odd thing was that the whole panel was so devastated they could hardly speak, except Norah O'Donnel who carried on without a glimmer of disappointment. The contrast made the others look positively suicidal by comparison...

The Clintons have never hesitated for a nanosecond to throw allies under the bus if it meant avoiding accountability or putting an extra nickel in their pocket. No reason to think that will ever change.
Like you, the constant reminders of her mental disintegration never cease to warm the cockles of my heart...

Indeed I have noticed that. Especially when talking to us righties. They think they can twist the words of our faith in a manner that would cause us to embrace their culture of destruction.
