A Maryland couple claims immigration authorities in Baltimore unfairly lured them into an interview — then moved to deport one of them back to Central America.

They’ve now joined a class action lawsuit against the federal government.

Earlier this year, Elmer and his wife Alyse Sanchez showed up for an interview with immigration authorities to determine whether Elmer, who was unlawfully in the country, could remain as a result of their marriage.

I find "We shouldn't have gotten caught!" arguments unconvincing.
