Hi. @Freya has been working the polls all day, so she's probably tuckered out. In that spirit, I'm starting a thread with the results of the election. Pleas, friends, add to it as the numbers start to come in.
It's still early, so everything's neck-and-neck at Zero vs Zero...
Here's what Commie News Network has so far, VA election is included....

With <1% in, CNN is declaring the Dem won in NJ.

Another surprising win, not. But, that’s Jersey for you. They swing back and forth on governor as regular as a pendulum. And their list of loser governors is legion – yikes!

I just got home I'm beyond tired.
The district I worked in 1500 people (rounded slightly)
600 people voted (590 something I'm rounding up)
140 R
460 D
I'm in a bad mood. Donut me.

Yeesh.
Thanks for your service, in any case!

What a surprise. The least popular Gov in the entire country was replaced by a member of the opposite team. So shocked.

New Jersey just returning to Business As Usual.

Who knows. Maybe this Rat Gov might not be half as corrupt and disgusting as Christie Creme.

Thanks for the donut, I just woke up. I'm having some milk I'm going to go back to sleep.
There's more in play here I'll write when I'm awake but let's just say Murphy is going to really raise our taxes. I don't think people cared. I think they just hated Christie so much they didn't look at the issues.
In the immortal words of Homer (Simpson) "mmmm. Donut".
Did you think I'd quote the blind poet at 3 am? :silly:

Hmmm...perhaps history has it all wrong. Maybe the Trojans had donuts delivered to Achilles' tent!

NJ is an awful little state, politically. I wonder what happened.

I think people were really pissed at Christie (Gotta admit, he's been pretty obnoxious lately), so the voters took it out on his party. I don't think it's much more complicated than that.

I think you are exactly right. Putting a Lt. Governor on the ballot who's boss had approval ratings in the teens always seemed like political suicide to me.

NJ = NYC's toilet.
