It’s working, America!
Our U.S. lawmakers are getting the message from “We the People,†who are demanding Congress fund the wall on our southern border.
Every day the government is shut down, the Democrat Party loses a little more credibility with the American voters. The longer the shutdown drags out, the more Democrat leadership is going to be forced to have to explain to the American people why they refuse to fund a wall to protect our southern border from foreign invaders.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings @Sanguine . I love this board and it does reflect the feelings of a lot of people. But we can't take ourselves too seriously to the point of thinking what we say here actually matters.

Look, everybody. I did not realize that my post could be taken as a double entendre. I did not mean it that way at all. I just meant that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously or imagine that what we say on this board has any effect on what happens in the world.
It does reflect what happens, of course.
Anyone who knows me knows that I hate, hate, hate suggestive posts and cannot stand it when posters start doing back and forth with sexual repartee.

I do care what others on this forum think and feel. Even posters who I disagree with. This forum is small enough to subvert the russia-bots, the Deep State, or an actually malevolent organization as too small to mess with, yet diverse enough to offer a better variety of thought and opinion than some larger forums. I often see ideas here before I see then in larger media outlets.
But it's hard to take this forum seriously when it has become the home of Zero Hedge, Breitbart, and www.freedomwood.gun (http://www.freedomwood.gun) ...the unfake news(?).

Bull. Phone calls and e-mails do matter, especially when they jam their phone lines. Each of us can step away from the keyboard for 10 minutes a day and make a couple of phone calls. Even if you live in the land of the original Gang of 8 as I do, Rubio still needs to get phone calls as do others. Now is not the time to become passive.
