John Zogby: Obama's Supporters Are 'Just Giving Up' on Him
Saturday, July 12, 2014 10:01 PM

By: Todd Beamon

Pollster John Zogby gave President Barack Obama an "F" in his weekly White House report card Saturday because even the president's most ardent supporters are "giving up" on him because of his inability to solve the nation's troubles.

"Now some people have really bad weeks," the longtime political analyst said. "Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff got an 'F' after the nation's soccer team lost to Germany.

"But President Obama's week was just as bad," Zogby continued. "Israel and the Palestinians are at war again. The president should have visited the U.S.-Mexican border, where so many immigrant children are in danger and so many American citizens are worried.

"It just seems that even those who have been so hopeful of this president are finally just giving up," he concluded. "Things just appear to be out control, at least out of his control. A very bad week."

I see the same thing here in the blue part of Ohio. The loudmouth Obama lovers have gone silent, and don't defend him when someone is saying bad stuff about Obama.

But Obama is the symptom, the public is the problem. Those idiots that have given up on Obama are ready for Hillary.

I'm not so sure about that.  I have seen absolutely no enthusiasm among Black voters who overwhelmingly supported Obama, for the Hildebeest as his natural successor.  A great deal of the far left has no use for the Hildebeest at all, and I think they will savage her during the primaries and leave her so damaged as to be unelectable.  And that's before the Benhazi equivalent of the Swiftboat Veterans gets ahold of her.

Some white liberals will vote for the Hildebeest, but they are a rapidly diminishing minority within their own party.

I agree with the first part of your comment, friend.  Among my enlightened liberal relatives they are quiet as church mice regarding Obama.  Let's see how they are when campaign season hits regarding Hillary.  I suspect they will blindly fall in line, but I'm not sure.

You're forgetting the woman factor. I've heard more than a few women of all political stripes say they'd vote Hillary because it's time for a woman.

Identity politics is alive and ready to be cultivated.

I'm not so sure that hillary is going to be the candidate in 2016. Elizabeth Warren has a lot of backers - reportedly, even the 0bamas.
Her baggage isn't as well known as hillary's. I think the liberal voters would support her just as much as they supported 0bama.
Socialism still sounds good to the voters on the dole.
