.

Several prominent Democrats slammed former President Donald Trump for reportedly asking top oil executives for $1 billion for his campaign in exchange for a rollback of environmental standards that he said hurt the industry.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) led the charge, saying Trump is “giving our planet away in return for cash” in a post on X referencing a Washington Post report. Newsom has been a consistent Trump opponent, differing with him on many topics, such as the advancement of electric vehicles.

Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) also rebuked Trump in respective posts on X.

“Trump’s backroom dealmaking with Big Oil is a pledge to fan the flames of the climate crisis,” Markey said. “It’s unacceptable. We can’t let Trump bargain away our planet and our future.”

I don't think Trump is capable of being humiliated.  What this is doing is showing just how horrid the Democommies are.  Presently led by a pedophile, what can you expect?  And the vast majority of Dems have wrapped their arms around degenerate behavior and mindsets.

Our sovereignty is being destroyed every day by folks on both sides of the aisle.  Something has to change, and soon before everything goes completely to sh*t!!!  Four more years of Biden I believe will destroy this nation with no coming back.

"Typhoid Mary", by Anthony Bourdain.
Don't waste your time with this one.
I never could jump on the Bourdain train. I found him insufferably arrogant and annoying, and had more than a few doubts about his self-proclaimed culinary chops.

House Democrats Vote Unanimously to Count Foreign Nationals in Congressional Apportionment

John Binder 9 May 2024

House Democrats voted unanimously to continue including foreign nationals, illegal aliens among them, when apportioning congressional districts in states.

Late on Wednesday, the House voted along party lines, 206-202, for Rep. Chuck Edwards’ (R-NC) Equal Representation Act, with all Republicans supporting the bill and all Democrats opposing:

The Equal Representation Act would require the decennial census, to be taken in 2030, to include a question whereby respondents certify whether they are an American citizen or a foreign national, such as a green card holder, visa holder, or illegal alien.

The Department of Commerce, following the census, would be required to make public the number of American citizens and foreign nationals throughout the United States.

Likewise, the bill would require that congressional apportionment — which decides how many House seats each state receives — only relies on the number of American citizens in each state rather than including foreign nationals, with illegal aliens in the mix as well.

Lawler calls for Roy, Massie to be ‘immediately removed’ from Rules Committee

BY SARAH FORTINSKY - 05/09/24 6:20 PM ET

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) called for Reps. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) to be “immediately removed” from their powerful spots on the Rules Committee after they voted with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Wednesday to advance her effort to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Ga.) from his post.

Greene’s effort to force a vote on the motion to vacate Wednesday ultimately failed when Republican Majority Leader Steve Scalise (La.) countered with a motion to table her resolution adopted by an overwhelming bipartisan majority, with a vote of 359-43.

Only 11 Republicans, including Roy and Massie, supported Greene’s effort to move forward with the vote.

Lawler now says they should face consequences.
