The Great Global Warming Swindle and Climate the Movie: The Cold Truth

Seok Soon Park, Ph.D. Former President of Korea National Institute of Environmental Research, Professor of Environmental Science & Engineering, Ewha Womans University, Seoul Korea

On March 8, 2007, the British TV Channel 4 aired a documentary titled “The Great Global Warming Swindle.” This film was the complete opposite of the fourth report of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), released in February of the same year. It also directly challenged the documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth” by the 45th Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, released in 2006. At that time, fear of man made global warming was sweeping across the world due to the IPCC report and Al Gore’s film.

Under these circumstances, British brave director Martin Durkin produced and aired a documentary on TV denying man made global warming, based on interviews with world-class scientists and the Earth’s climate history. This film featured compelling interviews with several prominent scientists, including Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, and Professor Richard Lindzen of MIT in US. Even now, 17 years later, director Durkin’s outstanding screenplay and interviews with scientists are enough to argue that “global warming is a large-scale fraud.”

Concerns Mount Over Exploding Electric Vehicles
BY CHRIS MORRISON 8 MAY 2024 9:00 AM

Safety concerns around electric vehicles continue to mount with Australian fire and rescue services in New South Wales stating they might have to make a “tactical disengagement” of a trapped car accident victim if the battery is likely to explode. Australian journalist Jo Nova covered the story, which was first mentioned in the EV blog The Driven, and commented: “They say the first responders need more training as if this can be solved with a certificate, but the dark truth is they’re talking about training the firemen and the truck drivers to recognise when they have to abandon the rescue.”

The Driven, a widely-read blog that seems highly sympathetic to a rollout of EVs, was reporting on recent testimony given to the NSW Government’s Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Batteries Inquiry. The writer suggested that first responders did not have adequate training to deal with electric vehicle collisions, and in the most serious cases, crews could be forced to abandon rescues. One particular area of concern seemed to revolve around the need to extract a trapped casualty quickly after a crash by dragging the person out in a “very undesirable manner”. Fires are a grave risk in any vehicle accident, but they can be quickly brought under control in an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.

Worries about the potential dangers inherent in EVs is likely to grow as numbers on the roads continue to rise. EV battery explosions can occur very quickly, triggering the release of highly toxic gases. When they roar into thermal overdrive, they create very high temperatures and are very difficult to extinguish. The explosion can occur after almost any collision, or be due to a fault in the initial manufacture. The fire often takes hours to control and it can reignited days after it was thought to be out. With Net Zero fanatics desperate to drive ICE cars off the road in short order, EVs are the only mass private transport solution offered. Many of the issues, including safety, that make them an inferior product compared to petrol-powered combustion cars are often ignored.

California Becomes the State With the Highest Debt as Reliance on Taxpayers Backfires
©Source: Pinterest

California, one of the most populated states in the United States, never ceases to have pressing issues. The big state is currently battling with a huge debt that has reached approximately $21 billion.

The genesis of this huge debt can be traced back to the pandemic period when the state had to borrow a huge sum from the federal government to pay for unemployment benefits. Also, the state currently accounts for 20% of the nation’s unemployment, which contributed to the state’s financial problems.

This would seem to be a not-so-subtle admission that intermittent energy isn't sufficient for the coming electrical crisis if Biden, democrats, and rinos get their ways. **nononono*

Biden administration issues billion-dollar loan for reactivation of nuclear power plant: 'There's a growing sense among officials in the industry and government that it may not be the last'
Story by Mike Taylor • 10h •

A nuclear power plant that was closed less than two years ago is on the comeback trail on the heels of a $1.5 billion loan from the Biden administration.

The "loan guarantee" is contingent on regulatory approvals and other requirements, The New York Times reported in March. The plant would be the first in the United States to be successfully restarted and help pour $363 million into the regional economy. It is located in Covert Township, Michigan.

Bloomberg added that "there's a growing sense among officials in the industry and government that it may not be the last," calling an industry renaissance "once unthinkable."

The outlets reported that aging facilities and operating costs are at the root of recent shutdowns in the United States. Some plants could be reopened, though at least a couple have been all but permanently decommissioned.

"Nuclear power is our single largest source of carbon-free electricity, directly supporting 100,000 jobs across the country and hundreds of thousands more indirectly," Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm said in a statement.
