Michael Cohen resumes testifying
By Kyle Schnitzer

Cohen is taking questions from prosecutors about phone records. Cohen testified that he never altered the recording and the recording was cut off because he received an incoming call.

Trump's team has suggested that the call was doctored.

Meanwhile, Trump has spent time reading through a stack of pages as Cohen continues testifying.

What kind of idiot interrupts a recorded call WITH THE POTUS you're trying to hurt...to take another call?   /s

Trump's political allies slam 'depressing' courtroom in press conference outside trial

Ohio Sen. JD Vance led the press conference, starting off by slamming Cohen as a 'convicted felon.'

'Does any reasonable person believe anything Michael Cohen has said?' he continued.

He went on to attack Judge Merchan's daughter for profiting off the case and the top prosecutor in the case Michael Colangelo, who left Biden's DOJ to prosecute Trump.

'This is a threat to American democracy,' Vance went on.

'This courtroom is depressing,' he added. 'This courtroom is the most depressing thing I've ever seen.'

Ohio Sen. J. D. Vance and other political allies of Trump's are holding a press conference outside Manhattan court.

"Does any reasonable person believe anything Michael Cohen has said?" Vance asked about Cohen, noting that Trump's former attorney and "fixer" is a "convicted felon."

That's because
a) there are government backstops for the lazy;
b) unethical businessmen would rather exploit migrants than pay a market wage to the natural born population

Deport several million illegals, reintroduce self-preservation, and the labor market would adjust.  We simply have not tried it.  Our present course is the path to oblivion.  You cannot flood a western democracy with hordes of low IQ immigrants and expect it to remain prosperous or stable.
Did the economy tank after operation wetback? I really find the argument that we need uncontrolled illegal immigration allowing unvetted people who don't want the American dream, just the destruction of America. What we need is a slammed shut border and a corrected system that deals with immigration in a timely manner allowing us to vet and choose those who will actually add to America rather than leach on America. Slam the border shut, and immediately start going after the illegals already in country(there will be disagreement here but I don't believe there will be mass deportations) vet them and if they don't pass the vetting boot their asses out...period.
The argument that we need all these low skilled, uneducated to pick are crops is rapidly becoming past tense with the increased development of robotic farm equipment and if we hadn't taught generations of children that some jobs...the very jobs that would teach them the skills they need in a workforce maybe we wouldn't need so many illegals. Top that off with skilled labor jobs and careers also being trashed in favor of a very expensive and worthless college degree...

He is a DA, a supposed 'civil servant', but he is mysteriously worth around 45 million dollars.
There is certainly something going on which is not what it appears to be.

Taking into account, "Inflation", wondering what 30 pieces of silver was worth in 33AD in U.S. Dollars today.   /s

Trump's politician buds skip out during mid-morning break, after flouting no-phone-in-court rule

Trump's politician supporters appear to have deserted him during the trial's 15-minute mid-morning break.

Sens. JD Vance and Tommy Tuberville and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis had all been seated behind Trump in the courtroom's second row. All are gone now.

The pols were all observed typing away on their phones during the morning's proceedings, violating the court's rules. Court officers did not appear to speak to them about this.

The courtroom has four clearly visible signs telling audience members not to use their phones. Court officers have hassled reporters and members of the public for glancing at their phone for even a half-second.

How Trump's courtroom cheerleaders spent the morning session: Live tweeting

From Rob Crilly, Senior Political Reporter inside the courtroom:

Sen JD Vance spent the morning session live tweeting proceedings from the second row of the courtroom.

So although Trump cannot comment on witnesses, his supporters can ... and did: 'Michael Cohen admitting he secretly recorded his employer. Just totally normal conduct, right? The best part is he said he did it only once and only for Trump’s benefit. A standup guy!'

Vance and Trump's other cheerleaders, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis and the AGs of Alabama and Iowa, have not returned after the break
