The Senate on Thursday afternoon will continue the impeachment trial of President Trump.
House Democrats are poised to dig deeper into their impeachment case, focusing on the charge that Trump abused his power in office.
Democrats on Wednesday spent more than eight hours arguing that Trump should be removed from office over charges that he sought to recruit a foreign power to interfere in the 2020 election.
The trial is set to continue at 1 p.m. EST.

Ukrainian to US prosecutors: Why don't you want our evidence on Democrats?
BY JOHN SOLOMON, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR — 04/07/19 07:30 AM EDT
Ukrainian law enforcement officials believe they have evidence of wrongdoing by American Democrats and their allies in Kiev, ranging from 2016 election interference to obstructing criminal probes. But, they say, they’ve been thwarted in trying to get the Trump Justice Department to act.
Kostiantyn Kulyk, deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s International Legal Cooperation Department, told me he and other senior law enforcement officials tried unsuccessfully since last year to get visas from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev to deliver their evidence to Washington.
“We were supposed to share this information during a working trip to the United States,†Kulyk told me in a wide-ranging interview. “However, the [U.S.] ambassador blocked us from obtaining a visa. She didn’t explicitly deny our visa, but also didn’t give it to us.â€

What do you think the second term Trump impeachment will be for? I sure hope it’s more exciting and better concocted than this one.

Adam Schiff is a known liar, and he lies with conviction. Yet the people of the 28th district of California will think he's brilliant and vote for him over and over and be proud of it. What are they thinking?

A general point that needs to be made: it is not President Trump's responsibility to provide unlimited witnesses until Democrats are satisfied he's innocent.
They've made it clear: they will never believe he's innocent regardless.

It’s disgusting that our own FBI spied on the Trump campaign.
It’s even more disgusting that warrants were issued without any probable cause.
They should’ve never been issued.
James Comey and Andrew McCabe need to be held accountable ASAP.
Who agrees?

Forgive me, I wasn't paying attention. Would the Dem impeachment managers mind going through it all one more time?

How did the Obama Administration react to the invasion of Ukraine?
They reacted by sending blankets.
Blankets don't throw lead downrange.
@realdonaldtrump
provided lethal aid to the Ukrainian people—actually allowed them an opportunity to defend themselves.

Exactly.
The Dems ruined their own case for more witnesses, more documents, more investigations, when they said loudly and in unison that the impeachment effort will never end. What would be the point of 'more evidence' if they have already said that they will not be swayed by it anyway. It is all pointless if the Dems have stated that they intend to carry on with 'investigations' regardless of any evidence.

Is schiff soon to be the House Majority Leader replacing Hoyer?
They already passed up Jim Clyburn once. Don't see why they wouldn't do it again.

Meadows is being too kind. The Rats know he's not guilty of what they claim but will never admit it, even if he were no longer President.
