Walz: White supremacist groups, drug cartels suspected at Minneapolis riots, but reports still unconfirmed

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz says he suspects white supremacist groups and drug cartels are carrying out some of the violence in Minneapolis, but cannot confirm it at this time.
Both Walz and Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said at a press conference early Saturday morning they have do not have confirmed reports, but they have gotten intel from national sources that it is the case.
Walz said the widespread riots across the country appear to be part of a coordinated effort by professionals.

Asked if he was aware of rumors that white supremacists had participated in the riots and looting, the Democrat governor of Minnesota said based on “my suspicions and what I’ve seen on this, yes.â€
“It gets worse than that,†he added. “The cartels, who are wondering if there was a break in their drug transmissions, are trying to take advantage of the chaos. That’s why this situation is on a federal level.â€
On a federal level? Seriously? Minneapolis declared itself a sanctuary city. In doing so, it invited in with open arms drug cartels and put the federal government on notice that their assistance was not wanted. And now you want to put it all on the federal government because you falsely claim that drug cartels were involved? There is a special place in hell for people like this.

I have a few college-aged, left-wing (and lily white) friends from my theater days. They're seeing reports of these rallies cropping up and to their credit, they have become very wary of them because they look like organizations they don't recognize and appear to be a little too prepared for violence.
