Title: No Joke: U.N. Praises Saudi Arabia For Protecting “Women’s Rights”…

Yes, the same country where a grown woman can’t leave the house unless she has a male “chaperone” is being praised for their record on women’s rights at the United Nations.

Via FPM:
. Today’s United Nations punchline has been brought to you by billions of your tax dollars. It’s your money. You deserve a good laugh:

As the UN Human Rights Council scrutinized Saudi Arabia’s domestic rights record this morning… out of 95 countries who took the floor, 82 praised Saudi Arabia.

Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based human rights group UN Watch, said the country is poised to win a seat on the Human Rights Council.

“A country whose legal system routinely lashes women rape victims rather than punish the perpetrators should not have been praised effusively by members of the UN’s top human rights body,” said Neuer. “Instead the world should have addressed the Saudi regime’s use of cruel, inhuman and degrading punishments, such as flogging, amputations and eye-gouging.”

While they were at it, they should have praised Charles Manson for his work in "birth control." :dropjaw:

Ever seen a stoning for confirmed adultery? Very instructive of the way they think.

Both perpetrators are stoned. The man is buried in a pit up to his hips, with gravel as the fill. The woman is buried up to her chest, with sand as the fill. Should they escape the pit, it is assumed Allah wills it and they are judged innocent. Guess who has the better chance of escaping?

Edit: Two points that may come up:

Confirmed adultery is when the husband walks in during the actual act. If it is the wife walking in, it doesn't count.
Yes, I saw it, own eyes. We were forbidden to interfere, on pain of severe nastiness both then and to our careers.
