China Downplays First Human Case Of H10N3 Bird Flu, ‘Risk Of Large-Scale Spread Is Low’

A man in eastern China has reportedly contracted what is believed to be the first human case of H10N3 bird flu, though the Chinese government claimed that the “risk of large-scale spread is low.”

“The 41-year-old man in Jiangsu province, northwest of Shanghai, was hospitalized April 28 and is in stable condition, the National Health Commission said on its website,” according to The Associated Press. “No human case of H10N3 has been reported elsewhere, the commission said.”

“This infection is an accidental cross-species transmission,” the statement from the Chinese Communist Party’s National Health Commission said. “The risk of large-scale transmission is low.” The NHC also added that the virus strain is a less severe strain of the virus in poultry...

Actually, China has handled several real cross-species transmission threats relatively well, over the past decade or two. To me, that suggests that SARS-CoV-2//Covid-19 were NOT a cross-species transmission event.

The reason they have these is they refuse to stop housing birds and pigs together, like every other civilized country. So you get these viruses that mutate and hop species to humans eventually.

China confirms first human case of H10N3 bird flu

A man in China has been infected with the world’s first human case of the H10N3 strain of bird flu — but the risk of community transmission is low, health officials said Tuesday.

The 41-year-old man, a resident of the eastern city of Zhenjiang, was hospitalized April 28 after developing a fever and other symptoms, the National Health Commission said.

He was diagnosed with the H10N3 strain of bird flu on May 28, but now is in stable condition and preparing to be discharged from the hospital.

It’s unclear how exactly he became infected with H10N3, but health officials said it was a case of “accidental cross-species transmission.”

None of his close contacts have contracted the disease, the commission said, adding that it is a low pathogenic virus.

“The risk of large-scale transmission is low,” the commission said.

I'm willing to believe, though weakly, that the original SARS could have been a fluke of natural intraspecies transfer.

Like all socialist dictatorships, China naturally tried to cover up SARS.

Okay, harm done.  Was China required to pay reparations to cover the damages the victims and other nations suffered in consequence?

Nope.

Could the newest China Virus have been a natural strain of SARS?   Not bloody likely.

But so what if it was?   Time to make China pay, isn't it?   If someone "accidentally" leaves his car on the railroad tracks, but rescues his family, and then tells the police that there's no car on the tracks and then the train comes and derails, killing hundreds of passengers, do we say "it's not your fault"?

Nope.

Make China Pay.

No more benefit of the doubt.

China has earned the Presumption of Guilt.   This new strain of bird flu?  Assume it came from a lab until international inspectors, everyone of whom should have lost family due to the China Virus, has inspected the entirety of China's biowarfare labs and cleared Winnie the Poo of guilt.

Make China pay.
