Texas is becoming a parched state. Texas ranchers are buying semi truck full loads of hay from my area.
As you said the northern US states will become the new breadbasket.
My sarcasm tag was simply because humans need to adapt. This rock has had hot/cold periods. Humans have repeatedly pushed back into "stone ages" due to extinction events.
It's probably why subterranean bipedal species are hundreds of thousands of years are more advanced than surface species.
Equatorial climates are obviously expanding, while the polar regions remain somewhat stable.
The current land mass called the United States will be the prime exporter of dates and figs.
