EXCLUSIVE: Joy Reid Claims Newly Discovered Homophobic Posts From Her Blog Were ‘Fabricated’

Mediaite has obtained a series of homophobic posts from Joy Ann Reid’s old blog that she denies were actually written by her.
In an exclusive statement to Mediaite, the MSNBC host claims these posts from The Reid Report — which include defending homophobia, gay jokes, and the outright mocking of gay people and homosexuality — were somehow put in by an “external party†that “manipulated material from my now-defunct blog.â€
While Reid apologized in December for writing homophobic content on a blog she ran long before her days as an icon of the #Resistance movement, she claims these new posts opposing gay marriage and cringing “at the sight of two men kissing†were part of a “fabricated†outside effort to paint her as “offensive and hateful.â€

Joy Reid's crisis deepens as expert hired to fight gay slur scandal forced to deny being a neo-Nazi sympathizer

One of the more bizarre stories in recent memory got even stranger Wednesday when the cyber expert hired to defend MSNBC star Joy Reid was reported to possibly be a neo-Nazi sympathizer.
MSNBC has been stone silent since Mediaite reported this week that the “AM Joy†host blamed “an unknown, external party†for a newly uncovered batch of anti-gay comments that popped up on archived images of her old blog from 2003 through 2007.
Reid apologized last year when other homophobic comments made on the "Reid Report," her blog pre-dating her MSNBC fame, were first unearthed by a Twitter user and reported by Mediaite. Since Reid had already admitted to and apologized for making homophobic slurs, it raised eyebrows across the media industry when she blamed a hacker for the latest uncovered batch of derogatory comments.

Newly unearthed posts from MSNBC host Joy Reid’s now-defunct blog contain content that is not only anti-gay, but anti-Muslim.
Reid recently claimed that her website had been hacked and that the homophobic posts were fabricated to smear her. But the posts, found by The Washington Free Beacon on Thursday, appeared to have been archived by the Library of Congress since 2006. ... Here's more about her "gay slur" posts:... One 2005 post characteristically attacked Crist and Republican Congressman Mark Foley (Fla.) as "undeclared, but assumed, gay Republican men" (Foley was later outed after an underage sexting scandal). But at the end of the post, Reid linked to a list of "Famous heterosexuals who are definitely not gay…" that claimed public figures from Orlando Bloom to Britney Spears were secretly gay.
In several 2006 blog posts, Reid suggested Republican Utah Senator Orrin Hatch wanted to fellate Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito. "Oh, look, Orrin Hatch is putting on his Supreme Court knee pads to save Alito…" she live-blogged during Alito's Senate hearing. "‘Golly, you're really a swell guy. Can I be on top next time…?' Jeez…"
"Would somebody please get Orrin Hatch some mouthwash and a $20 bill…? He's got to be exhausted…" she continued, in the post titled "Brokeback Committee Room." ...
