You can pick up some crazy yardage however, when you go into 'prevent' mode.

26 seconds left....23-15!

What was Brees's passing percentage that second half. Good God he was good all of a sudden.   If he would have done that the first half, my Seahawks may have been the ones finished tonight.      GO Seahawks.

And for you Saints fans, good luck in your division next year. And I hope you root for us next week against the 49rs or Panthers.

No kidding!  NO was terrible in the first half and the driving rain was clearly giving Brees a lot of trouble gripping the ball....part of the price the team pays for having a domed home stadium.  Seattle's 12th man crowd noise hurt NO as well...they don't manage the clock well as it is and the noise just make it worse...

Living only a few miles from the Seahawk Training facility my wife got to go to a 12th man rally on Friday (while I worked). Hundreds showed up, including players and the Seagals.  The fan fever is like I have never seen it here in western WA.

I fell asleep and knew the Saints were done for the night when they had ZERO; whether Drew took his gloves off lol or not. Or the wind stopped lol.

I must say I am shocked the Saints pulled 15 out of it. wow I must have missed the best part.

Congrats to Seattle. What exactly was that tornado-whistle thing? That was annoying and I am sure threw off the Saints a bit as it is another thing they are not used to. lol

One glaring thing I noticed.....at least it was "glaring" to me....

Early on in the game, when they show portrait pics of the players on the respective offenses and defenses.....

Now, it's not my intention to start an argument, but facts are facts New England has "only" TWO starters on their offense that are black, NINE white.

They are perennial winners and/or playoff contenders.   NOBODY can tell me that their locker room doesn't have a COMPLETELY different chemistry than the typical NFL team.

When they confront a situation or a problem with one of their players.....the player is jettisoned posthaste.  Definitely not coddled.

They suffered injuries that decimated their intended starting lineups....but somehow find the players where they can obtain 110% effort from them....which is usually enough to WIN!

I must be the only one watching football today....

With about 9 minutes left in the third quarter, San Francisco just scored again to make it 20-10 over Carolina in Charlotte.  Nice sunny day for once and the weather is not a factor at all.  But Carolina's defense has not been playing that perfect technical game of football you need in the playoffs.  Lots of sloppy moves...good thing they don't score errors in football........

Hmm, it's a tough one, Chief. Not a fan of SF or Carolina, but probably would pull for the Niners. I don't think Newton is all he's been hyped to be. Guess it's time to turn on the TV.

Us Seahawks would want it no other way. As much as we detest the whiners  it will be an epic  championship game against an in-division familiar foe, and we are exited about the outcome of today's game. And it would be hard to name two teams who hate each other more.  Lots of hard hits and plenty of jawing can be expected.
the last time they came to Seattle in September we gave them a 29-3 pounding. When we met later in SF it was much closer 19-17 with them just barely getting the win.    We expect a much more competitive match up though. The 12th man will be a huge factor. No team has fans as fanatic as Seattle.

ON THE NEXT PAWN STARS

Rick – Whata got?

Shady Customer  - I have a 49rs Super Bowl Ring.

Chumlee – 49 Rings, where are the other 48?

Rick – Shut Up Chum.

Rick – Well let me call a friend, he’s an expert on these kind of things.

Expert – Hmmmm interesting,   yea it’s a real Super Bowl Ring, and if it was from  the Cowboys, Jets, Packers, Giants, Steelers, Colts, it would be worth a lot of money,    BUT   (pause for effect)   it’s from the 49rs and quite frankly nobody likes those guys.   Sorry pal, it’s worthless.

Seattle  and 49ners game.  I want Seattle to win. I don't think they can do it.  The Denver and New England game. I love Peyton Manning  YET cannot stand Elway. So I think I want New England. I am just hopping those games are good to watch and not a blowout.

I would like to see Seattle & Denver win, but not sure that either of them will.  I think that both games will be great!!

I don't know why everybody has doubts about Seattle winning. The 49ers  have committed seven turnovers and been outscored 71-16 in their last two trips to Seattle, including an embarrassing 29-3 defeat in September. And the 49rs barely pulled off a win at Candlestick Park last month.  that score was 19-17 with Seattle ahead most of the game.
OK, granted Wilson has been throwing for less than 200 yard per game lately, but he is 5-1 when throwing less than 200.

The key to beating the 49rs is to get into Kaepernick's head, and with noise like this from the 12th Man he will be facing, he has a tough  tough hill to climb.

I think when anyone looks at the Home Record of the Seattle Seahawks for the last two Seasons  and Sees that its 16-1  people have got to see what a Daunting task it is for opposing teams to come into the Clink and Win Games.   The Niners are coming to OUR House and  The Hawks will be Ready, and wont have let downs,   they know what is on the Line, and the yremember the but kicking we gave them on their last visit here,  and they will have the  loudest Fans backing them up.
And, man, this whole town is buzzing big time, like I have never seen it, so you know Sunday at the Clink will be absolute bedlam, mayhem, and thunderous.

And let's address this whole Niners getting stronger spin that is going on now on sports talk. In each team's past 6 games they have the following Total Points For and Total Points Against.

Seattle     134    67
Niners    155    105

Scoring Differential:
Seattle     +67
Niners     +50

The weakest teams Seattle played were two 7-9 teams in that stretch. Giants and Rams
The weakest teams the Niners played were  two 4-12 in that stretch.  Falcons and Bucs

If Niners beat Seattle with all that they are up against, they deserve the Title and a trip to Met Life. But if I was going to lay $100 down on this game I would not be placing it on the Niners.      GO Hawks!!!!

I very much want to see your Seahawks win this one, NCD.  I just don't expect it to be the same kind of blowout it was when they last came up there.  That said,

The SEA / NO game last week had an 85 Share. That's huge!!!   This one will be even  larger and I do hope we give the viewers a good game. Blow outs do lose people part way through.
But a shutout (us shutting out SF) is going to cost me my mustache that I have had for 38 years. I was going to get my head shaved, but with what I have left up there my wife said that would not be much of a sacrifice.    So Monday I hope to still have my mustache, and a big smile on my face because of a Seattle WIN!

NCD....I know the Seahawks are really good this year. I hope they can pull it off. Here in Idaho most of us are huge fans of the Seahawks.

Seahawks actually have the largest geographic region of fans in all of football.  From Alaska, through western Canada, south to northen CA, east to Idaho and Montana and west to Hawaii. And pockets of fans throughout the rest of the Nation.   New York City even has a Seahawks Bar, where fans pack each game.  They also have the third highest jersey sales.
