Outgoing Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe had tough words for President Trump, saying he would get physical with the commander-in-chief should he ever get in his "space."

“You would have to pick him up off the floor,” McAuliffe told MSNBC's Chris Matthews on "Hardball" Thursday when asked how he would handle Trump's intimidation tactics.

Matthews laughed before clarifying McAuliffe's comments, asking “You mean you’d deck him?”
