Nonprofit allegedly misuses taxpayer funds to buy illegal migrants plane tickets to 'destination of their choice'

CANDACE HATHAWAY
APRIL 22, 2024

A nonprofit organization allegedly misused federal taxpayer funds by purchasing airline tickets for illegal migrants, according to Border Report.

United States Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) accused Catholic Charities of San Antonio of misusing funds granted to the organization through the FEMA Shelter and Services Program, which aims to reimburse nonprofits for the costs associated with housing migrants.

Cuellar contends that the program, which he helped start, was never intended for air travel. Instead, the funds are meant to cover food, shelter, and other humanitarian costs.

While the program does allocate “a set percentage” of funds to transportation, he noted that it was intended to provide migrants with free rides around the immediate area. He claimed that the transportation funds should be used only in emergency situations or within the city.

The graph of global mean temperature on the range of human experienced temperatures, as provided by NASA is a flat line since 1880.  This is NOTHING to panic about.

Read some of the many books refuting the panic and nonsense.  Here is a partial list.

Does California have a separate grid?  Surely there's demand for electricity elsewhere when too much is being produced for the demand in California.  Isn't the the point of having a grid?

Naked bodies left piled on side of busy border highway; message warns rivals to ‘stay away from Chihuahua’

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Mexican officials say a fight for control of migrant smuggling might be behind the murder of eight men whose naked bodies were abandoned on the side of a busy highway leading to the U.S. border.

Multiple motorists on the Chihuahua-Juarez Highway reported the bodies to police early Sunday 20 miles north of Chihuahua City.

Criminals in Baja have ‘total disrespect’ for police, operate without fear, activist says

First responders found the victims with multiple stab wounds and some with signs of asphyxia; a sign from an unidentified criminal group was left at the scene warning rivals to stay away from Chihuahua, police confirmed. The sign quoted a song associated with the state of Sonora, one of the bastions of the Sinaloa cartel.

Is any of this Pecker stuff relevant to the case of Trump having a NDA with this person?  Is this just an attempt to rehabilitate Cohen in advance of his testimony?

I've been calling it the Stone-Pecker slime machine since '16.  Hmmm.  It's going to be very interesting if we find out that Tumpy was more intricately involved in it, instead of hiring them as paid monkey operatives at the onset.

Well, not that this Orange POS' reputation could be any further sullied.

Colorado Counties and Sheriffs Sue State over Sanctuary Laws

April 22, 2024

FAIR Take | April 2024

The State of Colorado last week was served with a lawsuit by two Colorado counties, Douglas and El Paso, and their respective sheriffs, seeking to strike down two state laws for illegally interfering with federal immigration enforcement laws. Darren Weekly is the elected Sheriff of Douglas County, Colorado Joseph Roybal is the elected Sheriff of El Paso County, Colorado.

The first law being challenged is House Bill (H.B.) 19-1124, which was signed into law by Governor Jared Polis in May 2019. This law prohibits Colorado law enforcement officers from honoring ICE detainers. It also prohibits probation employees from providing personal information about individuals to federal immigration authorities.

The second law being challenged is H.B. 23-1100, which became effective in June 2023. That law bans local governments, including county sheriffs, from contracting with the federal government to detain aliens.

Your post number doesn't change Hiker, are you actually a moderator, and carelessly so?

If you are referring to this, "Posts: 1,455" (which is what I see as I post this), the forum SW shows members' total posts numbers, not a sequential number. E.G. If you find posts by me from two different days, you will see the same number, my total posts number.
