Donald Trump has confirmed that the Philadelphia Eagles will be invited to the White House to celebrate their recent Super Bowl win.

There had been speculation that the Eagles would turn down the traditional audience with the President following victory over the Chiefs.

But after it emerged that the team would be 'honored' to visit the White House, Trump instructed his aides to send out the invite on Tuesday.
