All the big construction projects are nearly all union, the new Intel factory, bridges etc, all the govt defense jobs, building ships, subs are all union . Best pay and. Benefits and they have great continuing education programs

Small mom and pop business cannot pay those wages and chance for advancement is minimal . The only ones who do ok are the owners who do plumbing etc. Employees get paid chump change .
Cnc machinery in my area non union 18-23 hr. Union machinest  40 hr + in my area

Nah... Bunch of liberal bullshit. I ran a big paint shop... In my day, bought more oil varnish than anyone west of the Mississippi.

It was a jippo shop. We got paid union scale on anything we cared to participate in that demanded it, but generally stayed away from union jobs. More bullcrap than they were worth.

But I could always, always take the work away from the no-account union shops. With just a phone call.

You can keep showing that tax table all you want. Does not mean they pay that amount.

We own 3 companies and we play the game. Need 20 hours continuing education each year, spend ,2 days in class and the other 6 days vacation and write it off as a business expense ,  hire gras cutting crew to cut grass at our office and they stop at our house and cut it and bill it out to my corporation. need a new hot water heyer for the house. Bill it out under apt expense. They don't give a crap- the companies dou g the work.  I could go on an on. We are country bumpkins and hide money

Find me a link where the top billionaire are paying 40%

Gates, Musk, Bezos, Buffet.

If they were paying 40% they would say so to show they are paying a high amount of taxes. . The fact most are quiet means they are paying a lie tax rate and do not want the public to know what they are really paying

You are the obtuse one and do not live in the real world

The vast majority of bad dog behavior  is from the human owner not training the dog, raising it wrong-wrong correction measured etc I bet the dog was in an outdoor kennel with minimal human contact
My wife volunteers at a dog obedience school. She has seen some horrendous dogs but after training became the best dogs ever ..it is rate just a few examples after 20 years a dog could not be trained.

Just shooting a dog is the lazy way out for people that do not want to spend the time training their dog

Funny that. Because Chewy was as trained as they come. He hardly ever saw a leash, even though he went with me everywhere. He knew to heel or scout and would take command by voice, whistle or hand signal, near by or way out in the field. Knew woods commands too... I could tell him where camp was and that's where he would return if we got separated. That dog was all that and then some.

A lot of things he just knew... Like keeping the cows off me while fixing a fence..... Keeping an extra eye on the bull(s)... All I generally had to do as open a gate and say 'git em'... He knew what to do next.

Damn fine dog. Hours and hours of training. Nothing lazy about that at all.
You don't know what you're talking about.

Let's say a person bought a house 30 years ago for $50k.  They paid their notes on time and have that house paid off.  They now sell that house for ten times that - $500,000.  They realized a capital gain of $450K.  But instead of pocketing that money, they buy a new house for $600.  So even though they realized that gain, they are able to offset it against their taxes with their new purchase (and loan).

That's what people like Buffett and Gates do.  They sell stocks, but turn right around and re-invest that money, putting off their tax liability to a later date when they cash out for good.  This isn't rocket surgery.  Everyone knows this.  Yet we have a poster in here pushing a false narrative as if we don't know better.

Personally, I don't give a damn how much Buffett pays.  I am not him.  I have my own tax liability to deal with without having to worry about other people.  But then I'm not some fascist liberal hell bent on controlling other people's lives.

Who allowed her to tell this story while channeling Paulie "Walnuts" Gaultieri?

Did her editor never hear of the words "difficult decision",  "no choice but to euthanize the dog"?  And I would like to know who thought shooting a "PUPPY" had a reassuring feel to it.  Everyone involved in this is an idiot.   **nononono*

Pro-tip to the editor(s):  Don't tempt fate ----- stay as far away from that gravel pit as humanly possible.    88devil

Is that the one who would drop the frisbee through the fence?

LOL! Yeah, that's him.  happy77

Townies just don't understand. When a dog starts killing livestock, it makes them almost seem to regress to a wild and feral state. They get mean and will do exactly that. From there the bloodlust gets completely out of control.

They also tend to start running with other dogs in packs like a street gang, and they won't care what it is they go after. Seen it more than once back in the day. Next time it's somebodies little girl that gets mauled.

One of our dogs got into killing pigs when I was a kid, and he wasn't the same after that. Very aloof and not nearly as friendly anymore. One night he didn't come home, we figured a nearby farmer ended him.

Might have been me...

I live in the goldielocks zone for feral dogs and cats, and take the weight of all the predators trapped in town and 'let go' out in the country.

You get out in the hills a ways - Too far to drive - and suddenly all those unwanted animals go down to normal levels... But right outside of town, to about 5 miles out, well we get to be the 'beneficiaries' of the town folks good intentions...

Don't matter much. They just get a dirt nap. But it would surely be a blessing if the townies handled their own dang business.

I lied.
Buffet in an interview says he pays on average 17.4% in taxes while his staff pays between on average 32-35%.

Like I said before, you are being intentionally obtuse.  Buffet is including capital gains which are not included in his adjusted gross income.  I can only tolerate 'stupid' so far.  Even less when a poster is doing it on purpose.

40% LMAO
Show a link where he is paying 40%. Still Waiting.....

I also find it amazing, Forbes, Business Insider, WSJ, Motley fool, Bloomberg  CNBC, State Street, Mornngstar , Chrles Schwab on and on  believe the propublica figures and have used them for articles but you do not.

The articles clearly state that the assessment is based on a hypothetical outside of the current tax code.  But you knew that already.  Yet here you are intentionally playing 'stupid', because your emotional well-being can't handle accepting the truth of you being dead wrong.  Not to mention that you lack the humility as well.  But hey, keep playing that class-envy card while at the same time bragging about how well-off you are.  But your bullshit won't fly here.

When she tried to correct the dog, it BIT HER!!!

Why is that being ignored???

This is not tolerated in my household, nor any others I know of. It is the Capital crime.
End of story. Dog gone.
