Oh no it won't. When we conduct a regime change (which is every 5 minutes) our taxpayers are expected to funnel billions in order to "stabilize" the country. Our ruling class politicians don't give a tinkers damn about the general welfare of Americans or what Americans want, otherwise they would have normalized relations with Cuba decades ago. They embargo Cuba to keep the swing state diaspora happy.
Yeah... I hear that.
But the reality of it shouldn't take that long. There's literally thousands of US based, successful Cubans just itching to go back home. They know how, and they'll teach their people. The problem with most places we take over is that the people have been beat down for so long that they know no other way - They don't know how to prosper.
Cuba is not that way. With a beneficial government, and anchored off of Yankee bucks and Yankee businessmen, Five years from now, Cuba looks entirely different.
Cuba never bent the knee. Cubans remember a better time. And I think Venezuela will be the same way, albeit not as strongly as Cuba.
Now, all that ain't to say that our corrupt government won't throw some bucks around... That's how they get their grease after all. But given the chance I think it won't take a generation... It won't take a decade.
Them people want it back, in the worst way. If they get a chance, you can bet they'll take it.
