Biden Botched Financial Aid Rollout. And It’s Parents and Students Who Are Paying the Price.

In a normal year, May 1 is known as National College Decision Day, the deadline for students to commit to enrolling at a college, guided in part by their financial aid awards. But the Biden administration’s disastrous rollout of a new financial aid application has left tens of thousands of families in the dark about their students’ future and prompted several universities to push back their enrollment deadlines.

As of April 19, completed FAFSA applications were down nearly 30%. At best, it means many students and parents don’t know how much it will cost to attend college in the fall. Even worse, it may lead frustrated young people to skip college altogether.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a notoriously cumbersome form that all prospective college students must fill out if they want federal loans or grants.

Previously more than 100 questions long, FAFSA’s current crisis can be traced to 2020, when the FAFSA Simplification Act dropped the number of questions on the form to about 40.

Why Was Accused Guatemalan Murderer Loose in Florida?
Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc, accused of stabbing his girlfriend and her child to death

By Andrew R. Arthur on May 2, 2024

Graphic bodycam footage from the Hillsborough County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) shows the moment last Thursday when Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc — who has been accused of stabbing his girlfriend and her four-year-old daughter to death — was taken into custody after a heated struggle. The facts of his arrest are undisputed, though the charges are unresolved, but the real question is how the illegal immigrant from Guatemala — who’s been here for three months — managed to enter.

The Alleged Crime. According to the local Fox affiliate, court documents in the case reveal the following about the crimes with which Cuz-Choc is charged:

The nature and circumstances of these offenses are excessively violent and brutal. The defendant attacked and stabbed his live-in girlfriend multiple times. In addition, he stabbed an innocent and defenseless four-year-old child while she was in the bathtub. The heinous nature of the offenses elevates [the] probability of danger the defendant’s release poses to our community and establish[es] that no conditions of release will reasonably protect the community from risk of physical harm.

It's alleged that after the offense, Cuz-Choc ran through a nearby field and into a wooded area, which is where deputies caught up to him 17 hours later. He allegedly confessed to the crimes and is charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a weapon, kidnapping, and aggravated child abuse.

While, as always, the defendant’s presumed innocent until he’s proven guilty, the cops appear to have some solid evidence in the case, at least according to the local NBC outlet, which reported based on court filings that:

1.) Japan is xenophobic.
2.) That is irrelevant for regional security.

If America tries to make every foreign nation in its own image, Foreign Policy will be a major fail.

Putin would be happy to make nice with Japan.  Go ahead, push Japan into Russia's sphere of influence.

The poll shockingly confirms that the MAGA Republicans who have been attacking Johnson don't like him very much.

Thousands of Illegals Tracked To Over 21 Pro-Terror, Jew Hating Protests Across America
By Pamela Geller - on May 2, 2024

“Remember all of those criminal illegal invaders we’ve been tracking from the caravans to our borders and into the interior of the U.S., today, over 1,000 of the same devices (cell phones, iPads, tablets, watches, fitness trackers, etc., etc.) are present at over 21 protests and growing across America.

This is asymmetric warfare. War. The Republicans pretending this is some aberration of party politics, or politics as usual, are as dangerous as the jihad migration,

These failing and flailing institutions are being propped up by Federal Subsidies - Government backed student loans.

End the Federal Government backed student loan program, then, you'll have college administrators' undivided attention.

Stormy Daniels' lawyer testifies it was his 'understanding' that she did have sex with Donald Trump
By Ben Kochman

Stormy Daniels' lawyer testified Thursday that it was his "understanding" that the porn star had in fact had sex with Donald Trump when she signed a letter denying the tryst — that was written by the attorney — in January 2018.

“Did you understand at the time that you wrote this letter that Stormy Daniels had in fact had a sexual encounter with Donald Trump at some point?" prosecutor Joshua Steinglass asked Daniels' lawyer Keith Davidson.

“That was my understanding,” Davidson replied.

Trump, who has denied ever having sex with the adult film actress, sat silently at the defense table during Davidson's testimony.

Davidson also claimed that the $130,000 that Daniels received to buy her silence about the alleged one-night-stand "wasn’t a payoff, and it wasn’t hush money."

He prefers to describe the arrangement as a "consideration," he testified.
