Title: Walmart to quit selling e-cigarettes amid vaping backlash
Post by: OfTheCross on September 23, 2019, 02:06:35 pm
The nation’s largest retailer said Friday that it will stop selling electronic cigarettes at its namesake stores and Sam’s Clubs in the U.S. when it sells out its current inventory.

The nation’s largest retailer said the move is due to “growing federal, state and local regulatory complexity” regarding vaping products. It also comes after several hundred people have mysteriously fallen ill after vaping, and eight have died.

Having learned nothing more than a century after the start of Prohibition and decades of the drug war's utter and complete failure, the federal government has decided to turn legal vaping into enemy No. 1.

So what if the Sackler family walks free while 130 Americans die of opioid overdoses per day? The nanny state has an axe to grind with your vapes.

The Trump administration's push to all but ban vaping from the legal market isn't quite a war on e-cigarettes. That would imply that it's the nicotine pods that are causing a curious strain of lung problems in vapers, when in all likelihood, it's illegal THC-laced pods from the black market that are responsible. Naturally, both parties have joined forces to push the legal vape pods to the black market and make it just as easy as before to buy the illegal ones that might just kill you.

I think it's bizarre they would discontinue E-cigs but still sell tobacco.

Less than 10 deaths from vaping compared to about 3,500 from distracted driving, over 10,000 from Drunk driving, 480,000 from smoking, almost 640,000 abortions per year. Somebody's priorities are screwed up.

Don't forget about the 15,000 homicides and numerous suicides.

Actually, I guess you can add Vaping to the Smoking category. So that would make it a larger priority.

We must keep out priorities straight when we are crushing Liberty under the boot.

Walmart seems to be adopting the "Get woke go broke" business model.

I occasionally vape. I’m an adult, but since I’m an active alumni at my alma mater I’m amazed at how many kids under 21 vape. Back in the day in the 80s when I was in college everyone smoked. Today it seems like every one vapes.
