Gov. Chris Christie could soon get paid for what he already frequently does: Talk on TV.

CNN reports that Christie is in talks with the network and its rival, MSNBC, about being a contributor after he leaves office in January. The CNN report cited anonymous sources "with knowledge of the talks."

According to the report, Christie is not in talks with Fox News.

Christie has said he wants to make a lot of money once he leaves office. He auditioned for a sports radio gig on WFAN but said he decided he wasn’t interested. According to the Daily News, however, the station told Christie it would not hire him.

According to the CNN report, the talks have not advanced far because of state ethics rules.
