This is the oxygen thief who gunned down those four cops in Charlotte. Terry Clark Hughes Jr, 39. He was ventilated.

I am definitely looking forward to his exit.  He's done more destruction to the GOP than any other Senator, including McCain.

It says to me she is willing to do what needs to be done. Even if that is an unsavory job, or even painful (I had to put down a much beloved dog over biting someone, and that hurt.).
That adds to my respect, not any disdain for her.

I have a similar story... As well as several dispatched because they were injured beyond hope. Just lately that I had to put em down to ease their misery due to age. Most of em didn't make it that far. Only three got old enough to stay on the porch. That was weird, by the way... An old friend and constant companion, suddenly staying home... finding another to go with... See the wistfulness in the old dog's eyes. Damn near as hard a thing as putting them down.

Now I'm the old dog on the porch... I get it.

I normally buy name brand foods at Walmart (other than meat) because it's much cheaper than the other supermarket that we have.  We are very limited in this area we have; Target, Walmart or Publix with Publix being at the very high end (ridiculously high). We do have one Winn Dixie but the store has much to be desired in the line of cleanliness, and I haven't shopped there in years.

So, when the new Walmart brand hits the shelves, I'll read the labels for ingredients and decide that way before I buy.

This sounds like Kroger's "Private Selection" line, which is very good.

Yeah but, wallyworld will "survey" Kroger prices and price their private label comparables lower.

All the big railroads are unionized, per the Railway Labor Act of c.1926.

Short lines often aren't unionized. Some of the "regionals" are, others aren't.

I don't think the Florida East Coast is union -- they had a very bitter strike in the early 1960's that drove the unions out. They may still be "out" to this day.

In summary... if you're going to run the trains, you're probably gonna have to join the union.

Having said that, the operating jobs on the big RR's aren't like they once were. It used to be a much better place to work. Not so much any more. Truth is, the railroad unions have never been noted for "being on the strong side"...

BIDEN IS LEADING AMERICA DIRECTLY TO WW 3..

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told House lawmakers Tuesday that US forces helping to construct a floating humanitarian pier along the Gaza Strip’s coast may return fire if attacked from the Hamas-run Palestinian enclave — causing an uproar among both Democrats and Republicans.

Gee, that's great. Unfortunately, few of our military are permitted to walk around with loaded weapons anymore.
