Blanche now making the point that Ron Perlman and Ari Emmanuel worked with the media to help themselves and their candidates to help shine them in the best light.
“This is not a crime. Mr. Pecker even said that this was ‘standard operating procedure.’” That’s what happens in campaigns.

Blanche: Let’s talk for a minute about this August 2015 meeting between Michael Cohen, David Pecker and President Trump, and Hope Hicks supposedly was in-and-out.
This is the same thing AMI had been doing for decades, per Mr. Peckers testimony. They had been doing this for Mr. Trump since the 90’s.
Tiger Woods did this, so did Mark Wahlberg.
I live in Texas but got the mail-in permit from Florida, since I didn't have to take any goofy test. Then I discovered if I had gotten the Texas permit, I wouldn't have to get ATF approval every time I bought another firearm.

Blanche: The government’s theory is that President Trump falsified documents in 2017 to affect the 2016 election.

Blanche: So again, how can there be an attempt to defraud by President Trump if he: 1) Discloses it to IRS, 2) tweets about it, and 3) discloses it on his government ethics forms.

Blanche: “The payments were compensation to Mr. Cohen from President Trump for legal services. There is nothing wrong with that.”
“How else do you know there’s no attempt to defraud. Well you also saw that President Trump sent out a tweet in 2018, saying exactly what he did. If there was an attempt to defraud, why would he do that?”

Blanche: If there was some deep rooted attempt to defraud, why do you think it was reported to the IRS as exactly what it was (regarding the 1099 of the legal services Cohen provided)?

Blanche: “Where is the evidence of the intent to defraud by President Trump?”
