Hillary Clinton says Tulsi Gabbard is a 'Russian asset' groomed to ensure Trump reelection

Hillary Clinton said that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is being groomed by Moscow to run as a third-party spoiler candidate in 2020 to help President Trump win re-election.
The former Secretary of State pushed the theory on the Campaign HQ podcast hosted by David Plouffe, President Barack Obama’s campaign manager in 2008.
Plouffe and Clinton discussed hurdles the Democratic nominee would and compared the 2020 race to Clinton’s loss to Trump in 2016. Plouffe asked Clinton about the part third-party candidates like Jill Stein of the Green Party played in 2016, allowing Trump to secure key states.
"They are also going to do third party again," Clinton said. "I'm not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third party candidate," Clinton said, referring to Gabbard without mentioning the Hawaii representative by name.

Secondly, if Tulsi were to run, instead, as an Independent.... she would probably pull votes from both parties... and not nearly enough votes to defeat Trump, so I don't see that happening.... since Tulsi, being not as stupid as you are, knows she wouldn't win the election and therefore, wouldn't go through all the hassle just to lose to Trump like you did. So yeah, don't bother making any wacko, lameazz predictions, Hill. Your crystal ball has been cracked (among other things) for decades. Perhaps she's heard that Warren or Biden may select her as their VP and Hillary wants that spot? That's all I can think of. Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense. Hillary doesn't have the health or stamina to run herself and besides, I don't think Gabbard would be her problem.

Hillary Clinton will go down in history as one of the worst presidential candidates of all time. So if the failed 2016 nominee is bashing one of the 2020 Democratic hopefuls, that’s a sign the candidate is actually doing something right.
Clinton has a recurring theme of childishly decrying everything she doesn’t like as “Russian meddling.†It’s Clinton's favored excuse for why she lost the 2016 election against President Trump despite having everything slanted her favor, and now she’s using the “but Russia!†smear to attack Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

In 2015, she introduced the "OFF Fuels for a Better Future Act," which would transition the US away from fossil fuel sources of energy to clean energy sources. The bill calls for 80% of electricity sold to be generated from clean energy resources by 2027 and 100% by 2035. The bill also calls for ending subsidies to the fossil fuel industry while banning fracking.
Gabbard has since apologized for her past views toward the LGBTQ community. Now, Gabbard supports same-sex marriage and says she has a strong and ongoing commitment to fighting for LGBTQ rights.
Gabbard has supported Sen. Bernie Sanders' legislation to eliminate undergraduate tuition at colleges and universities.
I am amazed that anyone would think this woman is in the least conservative. She's just a slightly different flavor of leftist.

Yeah I know... But it ain't no different with the Republicans at the helm.
The thing for me is that as a rule, I am imposing my beliefs on no one... As a staunch Conservative, I believe foremost in an originalist view of the Constitution, and federalism - Which brings the rule of law down to state and county level. I don't really give crap what liberal states do to themselves. They can make their beds and lie in it. Just leave me and mine be.
She on the other hand, believes in the penumbras of a living Constitution, and one size fits all nationalized government... Imposing her view on everyone. If she and hers make a bad decision, everyone will suffer for it, which is already apparent in governance.
In the end, that is the crux of the problem. And that is why there ain't no point in trying to talk about it. That singular dichotomy puts it all completely beyond any agreement.

That's right. A few years ago, she proposed we try to develop a relationship around what we do agree upon and table the rest... I agreed, and for around two or three years we had a passing and growing relationship. But Tumpy came along and she just could not help herself. Family txting vines turned into nothing but her diatribes... Gigantic e-mails about how stupid and awful I am for being pro-Tump (LOL! ME, pro-Tumpy... No really...). The whole family is one form of conservative or another except her. I mean the whole extended family.
Anyhow, she was reaming on my mom on a family vine, and I just could not take it anymore. My brother is every bit the Conservative I am, and we agree on everything, except that he is far more patient and politic in his argument... Me, I had it. And in my normal style, I stepped in, gave er both barrels, and reloaded. Mercilessly, over and over.
We ain't really talked since.

In a party utterly devoid of credible candidates, even Gabbard's limited appeal could give her a bright future. The idea that she would throw that away to to make a futile 3rd party run is ludicrous. Sanders would be a more logical target as he has no ongoing ties to the party and nothing to lose at this stage of his career.
We all know Clinton wants to keep her options open, but it wouldn't surprise me if that included 2024. She'll be as old as Biden but I doubt if she sees that as a serious obstacle. If things continue to work against her for 2020, she'll stand back and try to fill the elder statesman vacuum left by the increasingly irrelevant 0bama. She also knows that a dem winning in 2020 is the final nail in her coffin, so she'll do whatever she can behind the scenes to reelect Trump.
