Craziest part? This guy was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Northern Virginia.
Yet "home" according to him is the third world country his parents fled for the United States.

If one believes in a higher power, it is not inconceivable that said power intervened that day in Butler.

The USA has been on a self destructive course for decades.  With Roe vs Wade, our country had to fall out of favor if you believe in a higher power.  With the reversal, the opposite would be true if the reversal ended abortion, the mass genocide of our future, the most indefensible of our society.  But that legislation did not end the mass genocide.  No!  We are killing our unborn at ever higher numbers.

So, yes, I can see Trump being saved to potentially do things to get us away from the course this nation is on of self destruction.

I believe in God.  I have felt something has been protecting me all my life.  I should be dead half a dozen times but for the protection of something greater than me.  I have been in multiple cars that went completely out of control on black ice.  Talk about scary!  I have been in a jet that lost all of its engines, sending people without their seatbelts fastened slamming into the roof of the cabin so hard they could have broken their necks.  That was scary beyond words.

My father in law, a physician, went on medical missions through the small towns of Chechnya checking the health of the people.  He and the team of 20-30 medical folks were constantly fired upon by Chechnyans.  He has 10 +/- scars on his arms where he was grazed by bullets.  Through his life, he drank like a fish, yet he lived to a ripe age and the bullets he faced never seriously harmed him.  Someone was definitely looking after him.

And so to it is evident to anyone that believe in a higher power that Trump was protected that day.  And may he continue to be protected.  I just wish he would be true to his word, and keep past promises rather than betray the American people for a few billionaires.

Not smart to target our law enforcement personnel.

They know how to handle people like that.

I was never a supporter of the Dept of Education.  The results are clear.  Education quality has declined dramatically since the department was created.  So, they accomplished nothing of note.

But they do control student loans for those at colleges and universities across the nation.  With the department nixed, who picks up that process moving forward?  My understanding is that student loans could be disrupted causing hundreds of thousands of USA students to face not being able to continue their education.  If that happens, more votes lost by the Republicans for 2026.

I have an idea.  Why don't we just alienate every citizen in the USA?  Sure appears to be the Trump mission.  Ah yes, how to win friends and influence enemies.  Hmmmm!!!
Obama took government control over student loans.

Make private loans once again the standard and leave government out of it.

Mighty nice of SCOTUS to allow the chief executive to run the executive branch!

I caught that too.

Let's ask the forum, am I wrong?

Also @DCPatriot

DCP was seemingly ignorant of the strongly supported allegations and testimony that Epstein was involved in abusing prepubescent children.

To me the fact that the various statements say 'children' and not just 'girls' means to me that at least some boys were victimized as well.

DCP also provoked this comment and my own by dismissing the crimes against 15-17 year old girls because they were lured in by a lifestyle that was otherwise out of reach to them. This is called grooming and it is a technique employed by sexual predators.

DCP's assignment of blame to the girls also hit home for me as someone who was raped at sixteen by my father and then had my mother angry at me because I called the police and he went to prison where I am grateful that he died.

I'll save the long story but I got through my trauma and came out of it stronger and angrier. I am not always angry but I can go from zero to nuclear in a split second. It leaves a mark.

To so cavalierly dismiss what happened to these girls at the hands of a master predator makes me angry. Very angry.

Whether the victims were ten or seventeen the criminal and the crime are the same. Epstein's assaults are not lessened because some of his victims were fifteen to seventeen and they may have gone with him willingly. That son of a bitch knew what he was doing and so did his clients like Bill Clinton.

I will give DCP the benefit of the doubt because he did not know about the elementary school age victims. But I am afraid that DCP must own his dismissal of the older victims. Blaming victims for their sexual abuse and exploitation should be a thing of the past. It is the abusers who must bear the responsibility for their actions.
