Pelosi Creates Panel to ‘Combat the Concentration of Wealth in America and Its Role in Triggering Economic Collapse’

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) announced today that she has created a new congressional committee—inspired by President Franklin D. Roosevelt—that is designed “to study and combat the concentration of wealth in America and its role in triggering economic collapse.â€
“As House Speaker, I am proud to announce the creation of the new, bipartisan Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, which will be an essential force in Congressional Democrats’ action to combat the crisis of income and wealth disparity in America,†Pelosi said.
“It is molded after the mission of the Temporary National Economic Committee, founded by President Roosevelt and the Congress after the Great Depression to study and combat the concentration of wealth in America and its role in triggering economic collapse,†she said.
“As President Roosevelt said before founding this Committee, ‘The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself… the liberty of a democracy is not safe if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living,’†she said.

This is and always has been the first administrative step in implementing socialism in a society. Once established the threshold of the "wealthy" will likely start at a billion, and will ratchet rapidly down from there. After the national debt spirals off the cliff, they will have to fund porkulus somehow. Guess what... 10 years later that threshold will include at least half the country. The... FDR 90% tax rates return with a vengence.

As I recall, Obuttocks proposed taking IRAs from people, on the theory that they really didn't need the money to live on if it was just sitting there in an investment account or bank. I believe we're going to see that happen during the Dr. Jill/CommieLa reign.

It will be the boiling frog syndrome - start with the very big IRAs and 401ks (the 'they don't really need it anyway crowd') to establish the precedent, then slowly ratchet it downward until most Americans will have it taken away.
Mechanism is likely a replacement of dollars in the account with some additional SS credits.

The combined wealth of the liberal gazillionaires in America has to total in the trillions. Why don't all these wonderful superrich liberals donate sizable portions of their vast wealth to the "poor and oppressed" i.e. greedy and gullible Dem constituents who need their largesse?
Pelosi can help out by donating most of her multi-millions and go live in one of those filthy sidewalk tents that now dot many American cities. Maybe some of them are equipped with freezers so she can stock her favorite ice cream.
