Kathy Griffin revealed on Monday that she attempted to get herself back on the airwaves this New Year's Eve with a new co-host.
The comedian said on Twitter that she had pitched 'New Year’s Eve live with Kathy Griffin and Stormy Daniels' but 'all of the Hollywood check signers were too scared' to greenlight the telecast.
Griffin, 58, and Daniels, 39, became friends after meeting for the first time earlier this year.

There's another gem in this story: Griffin says she got paid $150,000 for her one night of work for CNN, then backhands that Anderson Cooper gets $10,000,000 a year.
Cooper's show, Anderson Cooper 360, airs 5 days a week, all year. That means he appears, counting vacations, between 200 and 250 times a year, which means that Cooper is making around $40,000 to $50,000 a night.

Lot of effing money to bring in no viewers.

Thank you. It is nice to be appreciated by one's peers. Oh hell... by even one peer.

Years ago my wife and I were invited to chat with Griffin after a DC performance. We had a great time, and she was funny and charming backstage. It's hard to square that memory with the performer she's become in recent months.
