(CNN) Don't underestimate the damage a few hungry rodents can inflict, even on something as inedible as an SUV.
During an event hosted by The Economic Club in Washington DC, Speaker Paul Ryan said his Chevy Suburban was gnawed on by a family of woodchucks.
"My car was eaten by animals. And it's just dead," Ryan said.

@WilliamVA
If he has car-eating chucks in his neighborhood, he ought to call the SyFy channel and offer it as a movie idea.
Haven’t seen you around before—welcome to TBR!

Any rodent can chew wires... and will... woodchucks routinely chew landscaping sprinkler control electronics, for instance...
That being said, woodchucks don't climb, so any damage is likely to be low-hanging and repairable.
Most likely a pack rat, and he's most likely still there.
