If an elected Republican refused to properly condemn a vile group of domestic terrorists that bears the faintest trace of purported relation to the political Right, one is left to ponder just how scathing and pervasive the media onslaught against the elected official would be.

Actually, one is not left to merely ponder. Just ask President Donald Trump how the media treated him after his initially lukewarm, generic condemnation of the fatal white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in August 2017.
